I find that MJ7 really drain a lot of battery. Previously I easily get 5 to 6h SOT. Now maximum 4h.

Android OS always on top. Used to be way below the battery usage. I try factory reset now, seems like one user in XDA get it fix by factory reset.

In that thread, those who suffered the battery drain issue are mainly Exynos model, and Snapdragon model has no issue on it.

When did you update your phone? Try to give it a few charge cycle to allow the battery to settle down with the new base. I don't have issue with battery those day on stock rooted UK MJ7 firmware

Have you check with BBS what is draining your battery in the background? I only have the Android OS top in the list when I run on Abyss kernel. But after changing kernel got no issue with it. But since you are on stock ROM, I suspect something else is draining it

I am eager to root but I am facing a problem.

I cannot download 'MJ1 patched' mentioned in post#9.
If I download direct from Mega.co.nz, it will stuck at 82%
If I copy to my mega.co account and download, it will stuck at 75%.

The rest of the files I have managed to download:
1. Root De La Vega Scripts
2. MJ1 CSC
3. Odin 3.09

Help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

TQ so much antt00. Am itchy to delete all bloatwares, esp Samsung's.

I have a Q, seems Google Hangout will duplicate my SMS messages received ?
If I were to add an additional Contacts app, I will get the same SMS message repeated 3 times, i.e

1 from default message app
1 from Google Hangout
1 from the newly installed Contacts app

I am still at MJ1. Have switched off 'Software Auto Update' when I first bought my Note3.
