Like that whoever the advise someone not to buy xyz insurance, also accountable, if something happened...  doh.gif

So buying insurance definitely a right decision, die die also need to have insurance.
Advice like skip meal, no money to buy house for own stay no problem, as it is considered not accountable?
But cannot do not have insurance...as it is deemed accountable...  laugh.gif

Medical insurance never a limitless and universal coverage, exceed limit and fall into non-coverage scope, you still need to dig your own saving to pay for it.

Please do not paint insurance is a magic tool that cover everything.
The right way to promote insurance is by telling details of insurance, what is the usage of insurance, but not using "scare" tactic.

Sorry, a medical card is not a must to have at any 1 time.
There's always government or semi government hospital to begin with.
If can't fund the treatment cost, there's still politician to help and Jabatan Kebajikan.

My wife have company medical benefits after getting employed in MNC. She has a cheap medical card that she is still paying annually. I asked her to stop paying for it as medical claims will only be reimbursed by 1 insurance party only.

I told her to resume medical card only when she has no medical benefits from company. Am I right?

As now retirement age are 60 and if you can stay alive till 75. Any serious sickness(cancer) will take about that time to take your life.
At 60, it is considered as warga emas and can get priority treatment from government hospitals. So no need to worry much. And if not enough money, Jabatan Kebajikan is another channel.
As for continuing wasting money on insurance company, agents here are trying to retain you. But as time goes by, will your current policy able to protect you later? Nope, it won't. You need to continue top up money once every few years to stay protected. If you don't top up also not a problem and continue to pay, but when reaching 60, you may need to declare something and the premium are freaking high. have to know that, not all medical card can just add money on top of the policy. Also insurance company will use this as excuse to deny a claim when you need it.

A quick one,

A person got multiple life insurance, and then die.

Can the family members claim for death coverage from each insurance company?

Or have to pick one with the highest coverage only ?
*
You need to produce and give the original copy of death cert to insurance company.
And between insurance companies they have connection among each others.
So, the question is, can you get multiple original documents from authorities?
Hint for this : all the insurance agents here were avoiding answering this question directly but group bash me instead stating this is irrelevant question whistling.gif

I'm a victim on insurance policies that got cheated while she is the insurance agent.
Insurance agents will mislead and cheat potential buyer to buy a policy.
Just read what our policy stated and you will know.

To summarize:

Death : can claim multiple

Medical Claim : only from 1 insurance, if insurance max out, can claim diff from next insurance

Permanent Disabilities : ?
*
Death you can claim multiple(I made it wrong), provided you really have the money to buy from multiple companies.
As for claims that you still alive, you need to get multiple hospital certs to claim from multiple insurance companies. But to get multiple original cert from hospital, it is like asking a man to get pregnant whistling.gif
And don't worry on maxed out or not as you still need to pass the first process on claim which is the denial of claim, especially on critical illness. There's a lot of exclusion on this based on policies you bought. Always read and understand each line.

Hi,

I am not sure if this is being discuss before (didnt read all the msg in this thread), but i will need some advice here.....

You no need to worry much on premium paid, now you top up by another rm90, after 5-10 years you still need to continue to top up. By the time you really need to use it, it will be more than you fork out your own using your cash.
The premium you pay will depreciate by it self once every year. Only the agent lazy to tell you on this.
My advise is, save your money your self for medical.
And for critical ilness like cancer, older policies only will pay out when you are really on critical stage(waiting to die), 1st and 2nd stage you get nothing.
This is another reason why I cut my insurance totally.

How it is being define?
Check your policy for this.
Else it will be like TPD and PD, if you lost 1 finger, it is not PD rclxub.gif
Also same goes to getting cancer, how it being define as early, 1st till last stage.

There's a lot of medical insurance which is guarantee renewal, but good luck in finding one that premium never increase as age older.

Insurance premium is based on risk, as you get older, your risk of dying gets higher.

Even if some insurance policy seems to have level premium, the premium is actually average out so you pay more premium when you are younger to cover your premium when you are older.

Based on your statement, can I conclude that I'm paying for a service that I may not be getting later on?

There's no such thing of guarantee renewal to begin with.
As policies are guaranteed to depreciates over the time whistling.gif

Hi, i have an enquiry regarding an endowment plan by Great Eastern that i have been subscribed since last year. It's a saving plan for 20 years with payment of about 3k yearly. So far i have only paid 3k. Recently, i have a change of mind and plan to surrender the plan. So the question is how much can i get back if i surrender the plan now? Will I get back the 100% of money that i had paid which is 3k?
My insurance agent can't give me a satisfactory answer. I guess she was pissed off when i asked her this question.
*
You will lose out ~90% of the money.
Losing rm3000's 90% is still better that after 10 years, you lose out rm30000's 60% hmm.gif

Hihi a quick question.

Situation:
Person A already have a med card from company A.
Then her agent quitted, no longer service her.
Now she wants to upgrade the med card and also, at the same time, shift to another company B.

Conclusion, she will get a better med card from another company + agent service now.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Will you suggest her to switch?
Her main concern is to get a better med card and also a new agent to service her. (The new agent is her fren)

If yes, how will you deal with her old policies?
If no, what is the other better option?
*
Medical card will self depreciates every year, some people already mentioned this clearly that it will depreciate 5% every year.
So is better to upgrade, else she need to top up money later on to get medical attention.
Also, when doing a claim, it is subjected to insurance's company's discretion. It does not means you can claim what the policies says, so must read and understand truly the exclusions part first. And if you really understand that, you will not buy any insurance anymore laugh.gif
For me, I'll cancel everything and open a savings account meant for medical.
