anyway, just looking if there is any..if not anymore, then have to accept lah

Sorry, good place is operated by government, not because of cheap, is because of the quality.
Don't listen to what insurance agents says as they just want to secure a business that will sponsor their rm5M bungalow and 6 star hotels in Europe.

Ah, ok. Got it. My take is don't believe those optimistic figures when buying.  tongue.gif
*
Trust me, with or without those optimistic numbers also the agent will cheat and mislead.
Not to mention some old timers I meet in coffee shop today said that they need to take out rm30000 as deposit on top of the medical they have before doing an operation. They bought the medical card 20 years ago. Why they need to pay upfront? Is because the medical card depreciates every year.

Some natural disaster, terrorist act are not covered.

Nobody talk about financial freedom in the first place.  doh.gif

The financial security means you don't need to worry in term of financial at all in all aspect when the particular item being insured, which is never the case.

I have seen a real case on whether it can provide so called "financial security" or not.

A family mother MIA, (go out to work never return).
So what insurance can help the family to provide the "financial security" during that time?
None.

1) A person MIA is not considered dead until 7 years.
2) PA not cover MIA.
3) Saving plan, same with 1).

How can insurance agent claimed xyz insurance provide "financial security" to the family as the real case mentioned?  icon_question.gif
*
An insurance policy do provide financial security all the time, just that all insurance agents are trained not to tell is actually the insurance seller have all the financial security, not the buyer.
20 years ago when I was jobless and looking for job, I just join insurance company as this is the job that no need to have high education background. This is the most important that I shall not tell any potential buyer on who is getting benefits actually by my senior. He even brought me along to prove his statement, 1 person is he never tell the dirt truth and able to secure the business. On the next person he told the fact and both of us were being chased out by that fellow with a parang laugh.gif
Once we managed to escape, he told me : see, being an insurance agent must not tell the facts and must cheat and mislead.

Do you mean the agent will tell me it's an investment?

I only know the investment linked with medical policy. But it's more for medical protection.
*
Trust me, they will use excuses to link it.
So always get the policy first, reads and understand fully.
First month don't use direct debit.

Ok, will read up. I'm not expecting total coverage with the many t&c.
Yes, I got that one. I was previously on standalone medical card but I feel the coverage isn't enough for future.

Does medical policy covers gov hospitals as well?
*
Buying insurance is expecting total exclusions shocking.gif
They are more happy if you willing going to general hospitals, sure they will cover. As most operations, sleeping in the wad are 50-95% cheaper than what private hospitals offering.

I am just wondering how the family members is able to withdraw money from a person who went MIA? hmm.gif
*
Not that easy as you need to get the death cert first, follow by taking oath. The process are freaking long and you may need to run few times for the same place doh.gif
If normal death, it is easier. But "death" due to MIA insurance will still "investigate" shocking.gif

It won't be total exclusions but for sure there will be some. Else everyone will be complaining. Hehe.

conqu3ror and JIUHWEI, thanks for the confirmation on the coverage for gov hospital.
*
Trust me, as long as you don't submit a claim, you won't know until you get rejected.
And every year got > 1000 of such cases, where 5% of it will come out in Chinese newspapers.

So u suggest just let it lapse, then after that buy another one next time when financial issue solved?

Well, rm700 is still some money. Just withdraw it and cancel the policy.
As soon as you don't pay the premium, you are not protected anymore.

Sure cannot.
As some coverage does not exist in personal insurance as the company are providing the coverage(like if you claim that, company have to pay them self) sweat.gif

Hi, is there any insurance policy that comes with savings scheme (or investment scheme for long term)

I'm trying to force save my income and maybe consider a policy that will help me save up for longer term.
*
All insurance agents will glad to serve you on this as a big water fish want to waste his money liao whistling.gif
So far I only see all plans are boasting they are making > 5% gain, but once signed the policy, all are making 10-20% from the boasted yield doh.gif
And some of the agents are sitting in the MDRT for 3-4 times rclxub.gif

Lol. I'm not really interested with the returns tbh. I'm more interested in saving up somewhere else apart from FD.

Or maybe anyone can share their experience in investment-linked plan?

If you are sure you are not going to use that money, better put in to EPF.

for prudential, under their medical rider written

" we cannot cancel any annexure that provide insurance cover to the Life assured for being confined  to the hospital unless there is fraud or any circumstancs that makes the policy null and void"
*
So now they including the word "fraud" to justify denial of claim are right whistling.gif
That's why I said, reading the exclusion in the policy will know that insurance are cheating.
With this statement, they can really overrule everything on the can claim part.

Is just another lie by insurance companies.
Government always says that people shall beware of ponzi schemes. But they never warn people to beware on legalized ponzi schemes doh.gif
Too good to be true, be it legal or illegal must treat it with extreme precaution.
