QUOTE(pristine @ Jan 18 2014, 12:36 AM) I wouldn't worry so much about the tempered glass scratching. Should take some effort to actually leave visible scratches. I'd worry more about it shattering. gahh~~ true too. Btw the one come with NZXT Phantom series are actually made of what? it's really easy to get scratch T_T |

QUOTE(Chew Yongxian @ Jan 18 2014, 12:44 AM) NZXT Claims it's tempered glass. But my NZXT Switch has not *thank god* had any scratches so far, same for my friends Phantom 410. Was the scratches on the Phantom cases bad? not visible laa but when if u close up and check can see. More like those line appear when u use rubber to rub on glass that type of effect. |

Kidz1995 all the best on reviving your gpu!
Pristine mind I ask something? Usually for normal tubings right? Compression fittings are like first put ur tube into barblike things then got one right on outside it that can screw it down to secure it ma right? So compression fittings for Arcylic tubings is not the same? As when I drain my loop it came off quite easily by just pulling it out the arcylic tubing. |

QUOTE(pristine @ Jan 18 2014, 12:58 AM) lol. plexi doesn't even come close to tempered glass. ohhh no wonder~~~ I tot it is same. So in theory compression fittings are actually more secured than barbs then? First statement: correct Second statement: correct The method of install is different. Acrylic tubes are held in place and sealed with o-rings. Flex tubes are held in place by the ridges and spikes of the barb, which grip onto the tubing which seals it. |

QUOTE(pristine @ Jan 18 2014, 01:05 AM) Actually, it's not completely fair to compare it like that. But generally yeah, compressions are more secure (and also look better) because of the outer compression ring which makes the tubing clamp down harder on the barbs. haha alright. Thanks for the insight. If my wc stuff is not gonna be sold I might get some flex tube and compression fittings. Arcylic is nice but I don't have tools to bend it and asking people do ain't that cheap If you really want to go into details, there are many different types of designs for the barb section of the compression fitting and normal barb fittings. Not all manufacturers make them the same and some are better/worse than others. |

QUOTE(pristine @ Jan 18 2014, 01:20 AM) Acrylic is really nice if your rig is already set for the long run and you don't see yourself upgrading or changing out parts for a long time. But flex tube is the best in terms of flexibility (maintenance/to work with/upgrading). Only issue is the occasional plasticiser nonsense. totally agree with u. Draining the loop is also pain in the a**. Btw wanna ask if those wc stuff NVR used for a few months can be still used back? |

hey guys, wanna ask. If now everything is dried up d, the next time when I set up my loop again, do I need to clean it again with distilled water as they might exposed to dust?
Btw any good way to make sure it's clean? I might continue to use back the wc setup cuz despite selling cheap there a lot of low baller piss me off. |

QUOTE(Kidz1995 @ Jan 21 2014, 02:45 AM) Stress test went well Good 2 hear that ur gpu running back again~! Hehehe. Luck is on my side tonight Thanks for the help guys. Really appreciate it. I will post my noobie rig tomorrow. Everything done except for casing fans. Would it be a huge improvement in cooling and airflow if I upgrade my stock CM case fans with Corsair AF120? Does airflow really that important in a case? Yes, in my setup a positive pressure in a proper airflow managed to get down from 40C to 33C using fanless heatsink. Ermm Does Corsair AF120 works better than other? That I'm not so sure but usually I think people go for AF120 due to its aesthetics, do check out on reviews regarding its sound tho. Don't be like me regret getting my corsair fan haha. But it does look well. ^^ |
