Grid 2 is no where as good as Grid 1.

least better than NFS latest instalment. there's not much good and fun semi-arcade racing game

All is personal taste in the end. I think i'll just buy now and think later lol!

NFS series ceased to exist to me after Hot Pursuit 2010. The series is as good as dead these days.

And 2 of them arent even proper games.

Why can't they pick Starcraft 2 Hearts of the Swarm, Football Manager 2014, Civ V Brave New World, XCOM Enemies Within, or Dota 2?

VGX is shit. Still prefer BAFTA or Game Developers Choice.

Codemaster has become fairly mediocre this few years. Especially after Dirt 2 where the subsequent games are getting worse.

Grid 2 is quite bad for a Codemaster game to be honest but for $10 its not too bad. The game has barely anything to do with motorsports now while the DLCs are overpriced.

It feels more like PGR than Race Driver games.

Dirt 3 was not good but I find Dirt 2 quite ok. F1 games also the latest one not that good. I think 2011 or something was the best F1 game ever.
I'm still alright with Codemasters. Grid2 for me was a lot better than the first but yes the DLC is really overpriced.. Maybe due to licensing they can't make it any lower or not they'll lose money.

I think we have those gamers symptom la where we love the old series rather than the new one.
It's quite common in gamers nowadays. Unless it's a complete new series then only we will say it's good. If not meh.. old one is better

This happens because games today are made solely for money, not because they want to provide a memorable experience to gamers with decent value. Instead they shove the new games with tonnes of DLCs, microtransactions and so on to offer poor value to gamers. Does older games does that? Grid 1's $10 DLC gives 10 new cars with a track each. Grid 2's same value DLCs offer one track and 3 cars while some $6 DLCs offer only 4 cars.

Grid 2 is heavily dumb down from the first game with much terrible value. There aren't any assist settings and even cockpit view is removed while the physics has become incredibly arcade. The career mode is poorly done compared to grid 1. Far lesser real world tracks while there are way too much city tracks that are poorly designed. Lack of motorsports emphasis hurt the game a lot as the series roots lies with motorsports. The only thing that was improved tremendously is the multiplayer.

Grid 2 felt like a shadow of its former self.

If I get the Far Cry 3 Steam key, the icon will appear in my Steam games library but upon clicking it, it launches Uplay to play the game. Am I right?
