Dude...You just said it's entirely the same game and I was just stating the fact you are buying a game which made no changes or improvement based on what you said.
And you're calling me childish?

Get off your high horse.

Read properly bro. We are talking about micro transaction not about the base game as a whole.
The ways to earn cash to buy cars are the same not talking about cars, tracks and stuff.

I just wanna facepalm. doh.gif
But whatever floats your boat dude. Whatever floats your boat. whistling.gif

Aint gonna trust them as they can just release a patch to halve all the races and challenges payoff because investors demands higher dividends from shares. Just like what happened to GTAV where they nerfed the payoff of missions because they like to "encourage people to play other events".

At the same time, why the hell I want to play a racing game that is all about grinding? I didnt sign up for a second job in a video gane as I play games for fun, not grind it day and night to unlock that ridiculously priced Jaguar XJ13 for "free". Adding microtrasactions just put me off entirely. At the same time, GT5 had one of the worst driving sensation i ever experienced in a racing game, as the cars felt way too stiff and grippy while sense of speed literally doesnt exist at all, even I'm in a Mclaren.

On the other hand, when PC is getting racing games like Project CARS which is made with passion, not just for money and get rich quickly by songlap people's money with microtrasactions. I'll stick with that instead until they lost their ethics.

I dont see that not owning a next gen console is a loss, considering both camps are on board with shitty microtrasaction practices while PC still have its massive libraries of exclusives and strange but interesting games. My money goes to people who genuinely wants to develop great games, not people who only wants to make money by making games to exploit the playerbase.
What 2K did to GTAV Online and NBA 2k14 really worries me about Firaxis. I hope they arent forcing Firaxis to shove microtrasactions into their future games.

actually ppl like grinding.. u look at majority of gaming habits.. its actually playing same thing over and over again.. grinding culture
like CS/dota.. ppl jus play same maps over and over again.. if the game is jus one story mode ppl finish and dun play anymore.. how many times can u replay a story based game?
so they using leveraging ppl who grind.. pretty sure many wont mind.. u can grind if wan or pay if u dowan to grind..
simple logic..
I seen my frens grinding 2 hrs each day on pokopang just to get cherries coz they dowan to pay..
that is just how it is, grinding is part of gaming..
if they grinding dun feel like grinding it is not called grinding anymore and they wont have extra income.. the whole point is to have extra cashflow..
same like u, I do not have faith in those publisher making it fair.. its always bias.. who dowan earn extra money?
but the problem is who will win? publisher or consumers?

Make sense bro. But grinding has always been a part of GT. Since the first franchise. Real fans don't really mind though.
Yes the handling and everything is totally different, but GT6 has a lot of improvements to offer and worth the purchase.

It's pretty easy though just ignore the microtransaction part and we are good to go tongue.gif
I blame Apple and mobile gaming for microtransaction hahaha.

Respect your ways of thinking but there isn't that much microtransaction game yet. Only GT6 is going this route. I hate it too.
Kind of unfair.. Rich people get everything while poor ones have to grind. But it's all part of the game. I play to enjoy, so...buat lek buat pis tongue.gif

Alamak when Project Cars coming out? I don't really like GT that much either btw.. Grid 2 is way better imo.

Does it even matter?

The problem lies on the fact that they are tripple dipping with monetisation by having a retail $60 game, inevitable paid DLCs and now, offering microtrasactions to impatient gamers.

When consumers start to accept this type of exploitation, then, we have a major problem. And I thought seasoned console and PC gamers are way smarter than most the dumb sheep on mobile who thought that microtrasactions were fine until you literally need to pay to advance in some silly mobile game. Sony did this "optional" microtrasactions to readapt and recondition gamers to accept microtrasactions in AAA games which i think it has no place considering we are paying far more for games than mobile gamers and the games we pay are not free to play to begin with.

Microtransactions in free to play are arguably alright if its implemented properly and ethically but vast majority just exploit it to its limits. How naive of you to think that Sony or Microsoft will not push the limits of micortransaction with their console games.

QUOTE(Rei7 @ Dec 6 2013, 11:49 AM)
This is childish.
The same as in how you can own the car without microtransaction.
We are talking about microtransaction here not about the whole game damnit.
Please read and stick to the topic.

1000+ cars more than GT5 is enough and races, sounds and tracks are not the same with more things to offer.

Haters gonna hate. Come to GT thread and i'll talk there even more.

No doubt there are no content behind paywall but will it stay this way in the future? I really doubt so.

Wanna see how is GT10 will look like in the future? Take a look at Real Racing 3, GT Racing 2 and Asphalt 8 on iOS and Android now. Also, try to play RR3 till the Zenith Cup without paying a cent, I like to see how much fun you'll have as these games are literally impossible to play without paying a huge sum of money or without hacking it. Thats where Microsoft and Sony wants to be in the future, where every single thing in the game is nickle and dime to the point you have to even pay to reload bullets, according to EA's ex-CEO, because it is just utterly profitable for them.

If the western games industry becomes what Korean or Chinese MMOs are today, I wish to be no part of it. That is where Microsoft and Sony heading to.

On the point raised by kof91, I understand that some people would rather pay money to reduce the grinding in order to save time, but I am just pissed that we have to pay for it instead of setting the cheats on via console or hex edit etc. This is especially crappy if we have paid good money for the dang game, which is probably why I gave up on consoles. My PS3, 360, and Wii are now all decorations while I am putting hours/days into my PC where I have more controls over the games I have bought.

I might start up consoles to play Last of Us, or any specific console-only games but lol, will only do so once I have free time.

I don't really play mobile games that much just sitting there in my iPad and didn't even open.
I just give my smaller cousins to play it haha laugh.gif

Mobile games so far are the worse and GT6 is definitely a step to see whether people will accept it or not.
I hope no one buys those instant cash though, it will just make things worse and hopefully no such thing as everything microtransaction in the future hahaha.
Ayo when you talk about Korean and Chinese MMOs.. I don't know what to say.. lol! I quit MMO because I'll never pay to win lol!

Diablo 3 is a good example though. They drop the auction house and turns it all into the old game again where you need to kill to get the good lots, not buy.
If people stop supporting all this crap for sure, they will drop it just like how Blizzard drops Diablo 3 Auction house.

I actually like a bit of grinding in games but the problem is, the grinds in game has been exploited to the point that it is literally endless in order to sell you microtransactions or DLCs. I am not cool with that sort of grinds. Especially after you throw in microtransactions.

I really have no faith in the new generation of consoles and most AAA publishers. They are going to exploit the consumers to cover their inefficient business operation.

Grinding alone is fine, if there is an end to it even if its dozens of hours away but having microtransactions will most likely mean that they will tweak its gridning eventually. That is just the first step, they will make microtransactions even worse in future installments.

GT's problem has always been that Polyphony has always been slow in catching up to its competitors which is why Forza managed to be a much bigger game than GT in the previous gen which at the end, especially on the driving sensation part as most cars in GT5 feels like driving a Toyota Yaris or something, even for expensive supercars.

Project CARS should be out sometime next year. Full production has started but its a fairly niche game as they aim to focus a lot on motorsports than road cars with a small but well tuned car list. A Mercedes Benz SLS GT3 will behave very differently from the road version but how different is it, still depends on how they tune it. From the pre-alpha, some cars are pretty damn fun to drive now.

The reason i keep bringing out mobile games inappropriately in a PC thread is because now, consoles are no longer the major focus for the publishers but mobile gaming are the main focus of publishers, which is why we are seeing microtransactions popping up on AAA games as microtransactions business model has been proven to be incredibly successful for a lot of mobile developers. It is mainly due to the more ignorant mobile gamers about games business model, ease of access and general "dont care" attitude by most gamers who are aware that contributed to the cesspool we had with mobile.

Because Blizzard has very vocal fans who dislike it from the get go and thats why that worked but with them but i doubt it will work for the new gen consoles as people thinks microtransactions are completely optional. I wont deny it is optional now, but it doesnt mean it will be optional in the future.

This generation seemed to be full of shit from the start. What a great start.

I am actually wondering what sort of excuses you are going to use this time. Bribe her with Pebble or more shoes with socks microtransactions?

Wallets ready. HDD cleared. Cards loaded up.
