QUOTE(Maniac @ Jan 12 2014, 12:32 PM) same here.. just got the lens a couple of week now..still learning (especially how much to shift for certain height, distance) QUOTE(piscesguy @ Jan 12 2014, 12:36 PM) i don't see the bokeh is smoother than 50mm 1.8g and 85mm 1.8g. hahaha.. in fact, the bokeh doesn't look good at all. maybe i like the way it render the transition from focus to OOF area... nevertheless, its not scientific, later i will post side by side comparison, if i got time (if more bokeh sure any 50 n 85 more bokeh than 35mm) |

QUOTE(mingyuyu @ Jan 17 2014, 09:32 PM) speed for stills it's alright, but lets say you want to track something, then mirrorless can't do that well. oh you want to get it solely for travel? then of course you won't be needing a 70-200 Haha.. Same dilemma as me before..Now quite happy with x100s Autofocus is quite ok for travelling Haish.. Now using 3 system.. All with their own strength Everytime want to photoshot had to ponder Wich one will i bring |

QUOTE(Silverfire @ Feb 2 2014, 03:25 AM) The vignette is only fine is the subject is close. The further the focus is, the more the vignette. Yup.. The dynamic range of latest generation ff cameraNot just noise, you can shoot D600 underexpose in such a bad way that you can +1 +2 +3 or even +4 stops of exposure in post without much artefact. Still quite latitude to recover. Especially in the shadow recovery. The way it retain colour in high quality iso... The reason im still using d600 even now already have 2 fujifilm camera.. |

QUOTE(3antz @ Feb 5 2014, 12:37 PM) Hi, it is very unfortunate that there was a small flood in my home and now both my D5100 and Nikon 1 camera is soaked with water. a side story...Both cameras are now left to dry. Are there anything I can do in the mean time to save them? My DSLR is brand new ... ugh my once my nikon lens (dont remember which, but got afs) drop inside a river, waist level water.. spend a good 3 hour try to find the lens in murky water.. when i got it, wrap it with dry towel.. then, i put inside a tupperware and add 2 container of thirsty hypo left it about 2-3 weeks.. and the lens work as new.. no fungus, no stain.. used it a couple more years until i sold it before moving to d700 |

QUOTE(PF T.J. @ Feb 20 2014, 10:42 AM) You are most welcomed haha.. nice.. give me an idea for wedding shot this Saturday.... To be honest, kite shots are hard to take, because its very hard to include both the subject and the kite since the kite is so far away... I think there are 3 ways to get a cliché shot: 1. Stand very far away so you can take in both the subject and the flying kite, but both will be very small 2. Shoot from the front, where the subject is moving (or standing) towards you, and the kite is in view at the back 3. Shoot from the top, but not that easy to get such location, was lucky to get this shot in Bali: ![]() Kite Flying at Paddy Field by PF T.J., on Flickr I think I should try and take some too haha Long time no fly kites already |
