I have the 1.8D previously and now using 1.8G since 2012 after hearing all the good comments about it. But then, for me I only note that the 1.8G has smoother bokeh, center sharpness wise similar, corners not so sure since I seldom use that lens and it seems to render warmer color than the 1.8D.
the 50mm 1.8d has less contrast.. has that foggy look. bt once enter PP, should be no problem.

Between 28 and 35, I'll pick 28mm. Wider, my favorite is 35mm on FX which is 23mm on crop (using that for my Fuji).
yeah on a FX, i like 35mm. on a dx, i guess a 28 is good. bt then, sacrifice a little on dof.
i never try the 16-35 f4 before... but i do own the 18-35 and i like the lightweight of the lens...and sometime...i do feel 18mm also not wide enough...
wah still keeping d50, only entry lvl body with built-in motor so can still use older af-d lenses. if u still want to stick with DX, no doubt go straight D7100... or wait later in the yr when they announce D7200 or D9000 or D400 or wtf damn nikon gonna call it whenever they release it
d7k la. d7100 is oso good, bt if i i will go for d7k. save some money for good lenses since d7k system is good enuf.
yalo..u all so bad...already mention out of budget liao still want to poison me...hahaha... i only plan to shoot the bird outside my house only or maybe the gal next door yups...the weight does matter for me. that is why i really look into the nikon 70-200 f4 i do own tammy 70-300 vc before but it was sold out sometime ago...i should keep it...haiz..
he meant the tammy 70-200 2.8. i oso seen alot review on this lens.
A58 is SLT isn't it? Which there's a fixed light loss, and normally you would be using your kit lens to start which has really tiny aperture... =X too little light in --> blur/noisy pic
anyone know what is the price for Nikon 24-70 2.8G now ? beside that, anyone here is using the tamron 24-70 VC 2.8 ? need some guide .....
tamron 24-70 is around 2.9k i suppose. from dxomark, it has quite good sharpness bt at 70mm a little softer than nikon 2470. even the nikon 2470 is soft at 70mm iirc. that's on paper. in real world, have to ask those who uses them lo. bt i heard 2470 tammy is great value, just like it's tamron 17-50 2.8 on the DX.
thanks bro well, what i worry about tammy is back focus issue... who have 17-50 , should know what im talking about..
1750 gt back focus issue? i dun face it o. if back focus n if can compensate, then it's fine. maybe u can go try out lorh. bt i think no weather seal rite?
