yup...it'll be available on that date....but i think you can only get it on an 18 months contract.....will be very pricey on 12 months contract cry.gif
*
if you desperately get, i think just get the phone straight away from o2, it only cost £269.
don get the contract for them, the offer they give is really such, the cheapest is 200m 200 text and cost £35 per month. With that offer i can get 600minute and 500 text already. vmad.gif
Just my 2 cent!

"Do I need a licence?

You need a TV Licence to use any television receiving equipment such as a TV set, set-top boxes, video or DVD recorders, computers or mobile phones to watch or record TV programmes as they are being shown on TV.

If you use a set-top box with a hi-fi system or another device that can only be used to produce sounds and can't display TV programmes, and you don't install or use any other TV receiving equipment, you don't need a TV Licence."

it depends on how they define tv programmes.

but if it is me, i wont bother to pay.
*
ya i also think i won bother to pay, but they dy step in my house. sigh. So if you what you will do???
ya i don have TV receiving equipment ( tv, set top boxes, recorders and i don watch uk program), what i have is internet and downloaded movie (of course torrent which include taiwan, china, usa bla bla all is torrent). So should i pay??? i need pay to download illegally??? rclxub.gif

as far that i'm aware of, no, u dont need a TV license to watch DVDs or download/stream videos off the net. the TV license is quite specific on the use of tv receiver/tuner cards often installed in desktops. look onto the website, they will describe specifically what u can and can not do without a license. bless the british system.
*
ya i do go read the detail in the internet, but the guy who knocked in told me i definite need a license and ask me to get it asap before i get fines..... sigh... he told me according to the law change at 2003, download/stram videos from internet also need license. I do tell him i don have receiver or rv tuner card but he just advice me to get license. Really headache of that.

But from internet, they didn stated download video from internet need license... so what i do is email tvlicense and see what response they give... However, there is a spoil tv left by the landlord in the house, should i remove the tv asap? The guy who come do know the tv is spoil but what he focus is i do watch video using my laptop which i stream from internet... sigh...

broadband, as always, lags down depending on the pressure on each exchange. meaning, the more people using the same broadband in ur area, the heavier the load will be. me? since i live where most old people/family lives (not in student concentrated area), my 2mb virgin media really feels 2mb all the time biggrin.gif.
*
ya i also think like that... really don like virgin media service cause feel like don get what i paid...

what broadband are you using? BT?

that is why it is quite advantageous to use virgin media
- cable broadband = more stable connection, easy setup, cheaper router, is not affected by how far is your house to the exchange station
- no limit at the moment
- no need for a phone line

disadvantage
- customer service and management has became worst since virgin took over.

what is the provider? AOL? i dont think it is a cable modem.

20kbps is real bad.
*
virign media...
hey i apply for 20mbs and pay 30pound per month.. So what i get is 20kb per second. So from7pm-11pm, all ppl who sharing connection need to turn off the download, or else, internet browsing will become a problem too... doh.gif

and i try called them, but 70% of my time is waiting, 25% is pass here link there, than the end the problem unsolved and i have to pay few pound for the called... hmm.gif

i am thinking don 1 to share the line with my neighbour for next year and downgrade to 4mbs....

virgin media limit your connection during peak hours after u download a certain limit(its in their T&C) but they dont send u warning letters(i know coz i always hit their limit tongue.gif)
like others said, they are the best(as far as i can see) if u d/l like theres no tomorrow. but pray that nothing goes wrong...
*
now i know why i always get 20kb per sec... stupid fat malaysian guy who worked in carephone warehouse... told me totally different story... and didn ask me sign any documents.....

i guess that happens in some area. coz i do not have such a problem in my area, so as my friends, never heard complaint regarding to that in south west and wales.

i think so, the place i stay is jesmond in newcastle where most of the students stay here... I think this explain why my internet always slow down during peak hours....

but i really don like virgin media service, 20mbs is a totally joke.. but i think it still the best among others... vmad.gif
