QUOTE(twc2020 @ Nov 28 2013, 12:26 PM) it will help more if you can give as much information as possible of your needs and future plans.NEX camera is very heckable on the lens. Plenty of cheap solutions out there. But bare in mind they will be manual and not auto so you will need to know lots more regarding photography.. I use the 5N and still very happy with its performance and results. some will consider the x1.5 vs x2 in the Panasonic an issue.. esp when you want to shoot on the wide angel side.. end of the day is all about how you feel with each camera on your hand.. |

Pretty sure samsungfreak will tell you that the Lumix GX7 is the best camera to get out there lolz!
But if your budget is RM2k and below, that's out of the picture. |

QUOTE(ChinWY @ Nov 28 2013, 07:57 AM) it will help more if you can give as much information as possible of your needs and future plans. I don't think the corp factor of x1.5 or x2 will be an issue as there are lenses created to suit it's nature (Eg. Ultra Wide - Sony 10-18mm f/4, Lumix 7-14 f/4 : on 35mm Sony=15-27mm, Lumx = 14-36mm). Also, I believe E-Mount longest zoom lens is at 200mm (35mm = 300mm) while for Lumix has a 100-300mm lens giving a 600mm lens. NEX camera is very heckable on the lens. Then again, like what you said you need to hold the camera to decide. If you are beginner to photography, I believe the GF6 would help as it's designed to help beginners to learn up photography like effects of aperture and shutterspeed. Then again, I've never held the Sony 5N so I can't really compare. This post has been edited by lilac: Nov 28 2013, 11:00 AM |

QUOTE(Monya Meow Meow @ Nov 28 2013, 10:14 AM) Pretty sure samsungfreak will tell you that the Lumix GX7 is the best camera to get out there lolz! Hahaha, yes that's the answer until G7 or GX8 came out. But if your budget is RM2k and below, that's out of the picture. G7 will be a GX7 alternatives IF it uses the same sensor, same shutter (1/8000s), same or better IBIS and most importantly - 2 control dials. The grip will improve the ergonomics substantially. GX8 - you need to wait 2 more years. Hopefully we will have significantly better sensor and IBIS. Better sensor is possible because Panasonic has working on 2 technologies - organic sensor and color splitter array. It is said that the new tech will make an ISO 3200 shot looks like ISO 1600. Dream dream dream. I would like to see first curtain shutter or full global shutter. But I guess most of you don't know what I am taking. Haha. First curtain shutter (found in NEX) eliminates a problem with mirror less camera known as shutter shock. Global shutter allows you to shoot with electronic shutter without any rolling effect! At that time you can buy my GX7. |

Between NEX 5N/5T and GF6 I will choose 5N. NEX 5 series with the kit lens is a great combo for beginners. GF6 is still using old sensor.
Between 5N/5T/6 or GX7 I will choose GX7. Different league. |

QUOTE(twc2020 @ Nov 28 2013, 06:56 PM) GX7 Can be below 3K but still close to 3K for body only. You still have to consider the extra price of a suitable lens for you.You can look Panasonic GM1, like a mini GX7. Heard the reviews said the kit lens that comes with it said its the best kit lens they've seen. Price around 2.5K. |
