QUOTE(TMTANWHACKY @ Jun 28 2006, 08:45 AM) Chambering student (ie CLP grad) can get as low as RM500Fresh Lawyer average starting salary is RM2000 (if you ever though Lawyers earn a lot of salary then think again) So RM1200 for para legal executive is already consider not bad |

QUOTE(TMTANWHACKY @ Jun 30 2006, 08:29 PM) i am actualy lookin at a job whereby my legal knowledge'll b used i.e. talkin/advisin clients and then slowly move up the corporate ladder while doin my clp. my dear, you are not qualified to give advice till you get your PC (practice certificate)... with a UK degree, your knowledge in Malaysian Law is like zero without CLP... so, how to give legal advice leh? if you intend to do corporate... then I guess Legal Executive at Legal Department of big corporation is the job you're looking for... few months ago there was such a vacancy in Jusco... (they're constantly recruting for this position... look out for it if you're interested) This post has been edited by Ritz Crackers: Jun 30 2006, 08:45 PM |

as you've seen from all these posts...
having a mere LL.B is just not enough! even if you wanna skip CLP you'd still need to get some expertise in other fields ie more studies... company secretariat is a good idea if you're determine to climb that ladder... but you'd still need to get the cert... so either way you'd still be forced to some further studies no way to run |
