QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Dec 6 2013, 01:56 PM)
actually it's more of a perspective as the brake fluid has higher pressure/narrower flow.

imagine your house rubber water hose, when you squeeze the tip so it's having higher pressure for targeted spray. however the end result of the amount of water being used/output should be same/similar.

now try to imagine what's the pros/cons when it comes to braking la laugh.gif
*
Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

How abt sharing yr views of those Pros & Cons?
TQ in adv.

Me can only see the main Pro...ie a better harder biting brake effect fr same effort by right foot...
Mainly due2 resulting higher pressure..cos of lesser/restricted expansion of ori rubber(?) hoses...
Juz as in changing 2SS braided hoses...

Main Con is need 4regular chks & maintenance of those ties...

Hi Bros... notworthy.gif

Tks a meg 4yr views/comments! thumbup.gif

2summarise...really short one...

1. Both CT & SS braided hoses do offer SHARPER/FASTER (?) braking...due2 more efficient transfer of pressure ie less loss of pressure than by more expandable stock ori rubber hoses.
2. Higher op temp cld b a Con...esp if used on track. SS braided one better cos of better dissipation of resultant heat fr heavy repeated use.
However, in Normal day2day driving, even CT braided one shld b no prob, rite? tongue.gif

So 4man-in-the-street use, CT braiding (RM6) wld b a very cheapo mod offering a more direct braking improvement to ori hose system...
As compared2 SS Braided ones (RM300-350?)...
True? icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Yup, I kno...re Eric...
More of me joined him tho...hehe...thumbup.gif

Actually this DIY CT Braiding is NOT new...
It was a very active/pop DIY project in early 1990s...
Bro Drex, ZTH forummers & many ole gen Sagas were in2 it then...
And now even in Gaga Club, mbers are getting interested with a no. hving done so 2their Gagas!

Believe me...one gets an immediate felt/significant effect on testing after the CTs are in place...

Recommend that Bros, who hv time & RM6 (+/-) 2spare, 2try it out... cheers.gif

No prob, Bro YAB... notworthy.gif
No harm juz hoping...even dreaming abit, mayb...rite? tongue.gif

Me juz thot it wld b good idea juz like 4kompang rims...
ie where spare is exactly same as the rest...
& can b used as a normal rim + normal tyre...
Not need 2rush 2repair puncture/replace tyre (&rim) cos totally different fr road rims/tyres...

ps. All cars with alloy rims used 2b supplied with same alloy rim & tyre as the other 4 road wheels....
Now the spare is juz a "get-yu-to-nearest-tyreshop" function... sweat.gif

Pak, if u go tayar shop/chop shop hor, if u tell the chop head u want 1 piece of those FLX alloy rim, offer them RM200, they can spare u 1 geh. Cost selling full set 4 bijik baru RM400 whistling.gif Chopshop car most only came with 2/3/1 wheels due to exiden, so most of the time they also wait for another chopped GaGa to complete all 4 before can sell. So, you may actually try your luck no need to wait for us here in KL.
*
Hi Bro YAB... notworthy.gif

Tks a meg 4suggestion!
But No Tks, too...
Why?
Cos many kinda believe chop shop parts fr xident cars might actually b "haunted" parts!
Parts with "dead souls" attached FOC!! Haha! rclxm9.gif

To Both
:
Me actually had bad experience with puncture along NS Expressway few yrs back...after midnite!! whistling.gif
Had 2drive with spare "kompang" wheel with diff tyre fr Pg border to back home here!! rclxub.gif

Anyway, no worries, me will continue like everyone else...
With a "kompang" wheel & diff tyre in my boot...the "norm" these days...no sweat.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

which one is better ?

Syntium 3000, 5W40
Syntium 1000, 15W50

by following the number, Syntium 1000 is 'thicker' than 3000, which mean the engine will more 'senyap'. No so sure. I'm newbie. Please advice  notworthy.gif

Hi Everyone!! notworthy.gif

Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

4Everyone's info...
Me am using (4a change...testing?) Mobil 1 5W50 FS EO since recent latest OCI....
No try No Kno, rite? tongue.gif
Yup, as Bro abv kinda "suspect", me can confirm that our Campro eng is definitely QUIETER with SAE50 EO... thumbup.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

NB. Since me am unker-type driver, acceleration is NOT a need...Silence is tho... brows.gif

PS. Btw my User Manual recommends EO of even 20W50 grade!! rolleyes.gif

Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

Juz4sake of clarifying...

Officially, EO of SAE30 to 50 with API Classification of Min SL are ALL w/in Car Manufacturer's recommendation of suitable EOs 4use in Gagas...
And in our climatic environment... icon_rolleyes.gif

Final choice is up2owner 2decide...

If brake and power steering fluid we change ourself, will it void warranty?
Coolant wise I don't think will right?
*
Hi Bro... notworthy.gif

In theory, anything done 2parts of the car wld void warranty as per T&C of purchase & maintenance accordingly...

So, if SC ppl wanna b particular abt warranty, coolant change (if not done by them) cld b reason 2void warranty of cooling system components... sweat.gif

Therefore, if one is concerned over Warranty issues, pls keep yr car STOCK as is upon delivery until warranty period (as per T&C schedule) is OVER... icon_rolleyes.gif
