and for the custom fonts.. DO NOT INSTALL ANY from the play store as you will boot loop your phone.
becuz somehow on sony phones, the font is a little different..

there is a special thread on XDA where the guy modify the font files for it to work on our phones.
metajilm or something (the person who mods)

you would have to flash that file in recovery (so most likely root access is needed)

and if anytime you dont like it, you can always revert to stock..

i've tested his files on stock 4.2.2, stock 4.3, AOSP 4.3.1, AOSP 4.4.2.. all works and no boot loops nod.gif

then yes, some of us here are using existenz 4.3, while some just uses custom stock 4.3 with root pre-installed (like me)

you can buy the dock charger.. but you would need to use the phone without any case.. or it would not fit.

well 4.3 is just a minor update..

even AOSP 4.3.1 and 4.4.2 also very fast..

compared to the longer time of 4.2.2 nod.gif

just not sure when will we get it now.

sometimes the phone will get hot for no reason..
for me i find a simple reboot fixes it..

could be due to many reasons.. but the ones i find it most common is:

1. you added in some music or media related files into it, then the media scanner is running, then you go play your game = therefore it becomes hot.

but there could be due to so many reasons also.. could also be due to a recent app that you installed and its consistently spamming in the background..

4.3 was released in december

there are multiple versions

like 4.2.2, there were .423, .67, etc

for this its .569 and .101

its just like "windows update"

revert back to .67 rom, root it then restore your TA partition. then update to .569.. if you want root you have to flash the ones created on xda.. i'd recommend drummerjed's.. as im using it. pretty stable on everything.

because there is no official rooting method at all for 4.3 so far.. (xperia z)

so the only 2 ways to do it is to:

1. unlock bootloader (which you do not want).. although there is a mod which brings back BE2 engine, but not sure if its a safe mod cuz the user is just newly registered not long ago.

2. flash the ones already available on XDA.

perhaps you can try to download FTF from xda..

becuz as long as you do not unlock your bootloader. your warranty is not voided.

just make sure you downloaded the correct one..

i'd try singapore's FTF. not sure why but they always seem to get updates faster than us sweat.gif

but right now my rom is based on US or UK one i think.. but no worries about the baseband as its all the same.

but do know you wont have root if you flash the FTF just like that.

although for me im not very keen or looking into OTA updates..
because for me whenever there's a major update.. i'd rather start fresh with everything to have the best performance/battery life, etc..

minor updates i dont really bother as long as the bug isnt affecting too much of my daily usage..
like .569 to .101 = not much difference for me.. so no point laugh.gif

yess.. one thing i like about sony's version of android is its very clean and looks different from the rest..

its not too modified from the official AOSP..
so even if you unlock BL and use AOSP.. you wont feel much difference except for the UI

feature-wise very very similar (excluding the addons by sony)

actually i wouldnt prefer to get pure nexus devices..

becuz there's no choice to try other rom other than nexus-based only. lol.

buying others (even if its a samsung).. at least you get to use touchwiz and AOSP..

maybe its becuz im just a curious guy. haha..
cuz AOSP we can "feel" it through CM rom..
