its been a long time since i didnt come here... how are you guys?

after nearly 9 months since i got my m17xr4... i am still satisfy with this alienware laptop.. what a great buy and thanks for the recomendations...

i have a question with alienware audio actually.. i know the speaker made by klipsch...it is a good speaker... but my concern is the internal soundblaster sound card.. the reason is.. i recently aquire a Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro.. which is my first non-gaming headphone/set..i am amaze... the sound is far more superb.. comparing with my turtle beach 7s, razers headphones and steelseries..(and other headphone i had)...

the question is:

-is our alienware sound blaster sound card really a good sound card (given that alienware is a premium laptop) to fully utilised my new beyerdynamic headphone... or should i get an external digital to analog converter?

i would like to page an audiophile guru and an alienware beast owner.... mr joshuachew if you have an opinion on this matter..

mine was a dfo too unit buy at garage sale.. but lucky for me, it a new unit... canceled order because that time more customer canceling m17xr4 due to new release... got the unit... upgrade from 660 to 770... 32gb ram..ssd... and i didn't disappoint me until now...

maybe upgrading to 880 terus next... who knows.. hehehhe

wow... thanks for the reply bro... and for the recommendation too... since you put it that way... i guess an external DAC i wayyy better than the internal DAC on alienware...

i am contemplate to get this mobile DAC or Dekstop DAC... my alienware nowdays sits more at home since i am travelling less nowdays...been looking at audioengine DAC... and now i can consider CEntrance too...

p/s: now whenever i am slaying/farming demon in diablo 3, i mute all game sound... and listen to music all the way... nice.... hhehehe

yeah.. last time i was like.. wuuu my r4 is old.. wts alienware... now i see hope... at least put 980m can tahan a few years more.. this upgrade-able feature is great..

by the way, i just checked... my warranty ended liao... can i still buy extended warranty? i forgot the name of the lyn forumer who can qoutes for extended warranty... anybody know who should i pm to the extended warranty?

if you are using alienware 180watt charger, i have a spare to sell. original DELL bought with my m17xr4. only used a few times before i upgrade to 240watt.

i got mine from online, had it fedex next day delivery to me because cannot tahan to use the upgraded mx17r4...hehehe
