umm if u had checked vox's own site, u will see them list it as 15hrs.
so why bother listen to ppl who are on god knows what drugs that say up to a few months...

btw, pandora also i have one...the PX4.
but looking at the pandora mini, that is pretty good value for money...but of cos u will need to bring along extra cable...buy the adapter or at least have rechargeable batteries.

i actually felt that DT kinda went meh when they went heavier, IMHO it sounded to me like metallica pretenders.

used to love them, lol, went out of my way to buy ori albums back then and they were like RM50 one or some shit like that

and JP still looking for his tones.. guess he definitely never stops experimenting here and there (EBMM Majesty/Stallion gonna be out soon)

that's one thing i don't really fond of him - i thought his leads already glassy/liquid enough ??!! rhythm parts are awesome though

but it's ok, there are a lot more talents in the business and we'll never get tired of them

the funny thing with most top guitarists out there...is if u take away their band...their tone actually wouldnt be considered good.
so the key word here is actually 'band'.
ur tone should fit in and be part of the band, not stand out so much that band mates want to kick u out tongue.gif

That's probably why I don't like listening to solo guitarists' albums ie Vai, Satch, Loomis etc.. just can't connect as much as other bands

well except some like JP (Suspended Animation), Andy James, Marco Sfogli, these are good

after a day the majesty shape has grown abit on me though, funny how lukather's the one being shown playing it.

edit: heard it's gonna have the awesome Game Changer system, if so then would probably consider saving up for one..'specially if they do maple boards!

whats with music man making their guitars look like it has a willy in it. then again i could see someone arguing the added shield contributes to hte tone.

i think solo guitarists suffer from lack of ideas, its not to say they have less but trying to cramp one album full of licks and solos of the same genre..........................

My favourite will be Musicman's Albert Lee, so familiar yet so different.

One of these days I have to try one...

Reposting here:

I'm thinking of upgrading my strat from stock pickups to either Lindy Fralin or Kinman Pickups.

The conundrum? I love Kinman Woodstock sound with hum cancelling but getting a kinman is wayy expensive

so, is Fralin a good choice for a nice strat sounding pups? I heard some on youtube for comparison and Fralin sounds a bit "thinner" than Kinman and there's also the buzz that Fralin pups give since they are a more "true" single coil windups.

Anyone here have actually heard both in a strat aside from youtube? Can't really trust youtube to really give a good indication of sound.

So sifus, what should I do? Save money until I can get a kinman pickups or just go for Fralins.

Appreciate any response! notworthy.gif

additional info:
The strat is an old Fernandes
The sound i'm looking for is modern blues/rock (ex. john mayer or Ken from L'arc)
