Just now my brakes failed at traffic light and i swerved into divider but terkena the side of the car in front of me.

Long story short, my Kancil tyre burst and side dented, his car just bumber scratch and one of his rim+tyre damage. He said he just changed to sport rims (his wife beside him and confirmed the story), and if he go to rim shop, "tak boleh tukar satu, kena tukar semua"..so he say his estimate is

1) RM80 for polish his bumper
2) RM100+ for new tyre
3) 600 for new rims (after trading in old ones)

I'm just a student and no money lol. problem is my license still 'P', if i make police report and claim insurance, my license straight batal right..edit: actually I found out that to prevent anything happening to my license, I just need to nego with the policeman to saman me for an offence that's less than 10 demerit points, in accordance to this list, in which case I will still pay 300 saman but won't end my license.

600 for 4 rims? Kinda cheap. Must be cap ayam brand. And 100+ got one Tyre? Wtf get buy the lowest tier tyres for his car? Sounds to me like he's a wannabe ah beng.

On the side note, "sometimes" the police might even offer to "tolong" with RM150. Just tell him you are student, act some innocent face, best is with some tears in eyes and tell him: "abang, saya tak cukup duit la...."

But other area maybe around RM100 la. Rim go ketuk, cheaper. Why la buy new rim... aiyo.

Ketuk can be done at a few shops (ie: jln chan sow lin, kepong n more) but the hassle he have to go through. That u have to take into account. RM600 to top up is quite decent price. But actually is expensive to me.

Report police bro. Just to keep u on the safe side. Who knows he balik rumah n crashes into his gate n claimes its your fault.

the rims where got damage until tak blh pakai..can juz go rims shop and tell them to repair back cost less den 150....not that damage also chipped oni wat...my fren rims have it worst..repair still can use..

most likely the insurance adjuster will say repair existing wheel. if replace oso replace the damaged on to same spec - that's how insurance worked

that's a rm 50 wheel dent repair job that any good shop can do in less than an hour. use a blowtorch, heat it up, give it a few blows and do balancing afterwards.

UPDATE: I made report, get saman but police say won't tarik my license but i cannot drive my car until repair the brakes fully (so i must hire tow truck to take it to shop). in the end dunno lah tow truck will cost how much but 300 i pay for saman already.

of course the guy whom i knocked into was showing his pissed off face the whole time because yesterday i agreed to pay cash now today i say want to report lol. after report i terus belah.
