This is exactly the frustration we have with ALJ and I'm glad to see them go! 

I just don't get why they want to manipulate the market, if stocks are moving fast isn't it good for business?

Look at the 7498 Police Station for example, initially they only stock a few sets at BV2. 1-2 weeks later re-stock more sets and now stagnant sales. Then they made it available on Groupon with better discount. Sales through Groupon has been great so it means ALJ do have many sets of 7498 in their warehouse!! I ask everyone here, prior to this ALJ bye bye sales how often do you see 7498 at the shops? And if you do see them at the shops, have you ever seen more than 5 sets on the shelves?

I just don't get why ALJ loves to keep their stocks in the warehouse and create an artificial shortage...

Yes, must tahan and save extra bullets for the big discounts that is sure to come... They are running out of time..

Actually, I chit chat with one of the ALJ staff few weeks back and he/she let it slipped that ALJ may dump prices later so the credibility of the rumoured 70% sales may be true.

We should all stop buying now. Boycott the sales and force their hand to improve the discounts. If their sales are good they may have a re-think on giving more discounts.

My crazy guess or dream or whatever you wanna call it:- ALJ closing down warehouse clearance sale! We go raid their warehouse!

Well, I see those resellers as a business and getting stuck with those stocks is a business risk they have to deal with right now... Greed doesn't pay.

Checked Parkson Lego sale at Pavilion just now. All they left are mostly LR and SW. A lot of Superman series but their discount only 10%-30%

Baseplates and Road plates are pretty hard to come by in local stores, not that they are super rare but it is ALJ's doing again... Your best bet are local resellers, they will have it at a good price too. It only comes in one colour: Grey.

STAR WARS ADVENT CALENDAR@50% in as well. One brader bought I believe about 20 sets of it. Wow! 4 sets on the LN train. Believe me he bought a lot. Kudos to you bro!
