If you believe ML, it should be this month - January 2014. Well, that what ML said in a newspaper advertisement. Personally, I don't believe ML. It also advertised that Cheras Sentral would be opened for business by November 2013 but it never did. Instead, only a handful of shops (foods) opened in mid December 2013 and >70% of the interior of the mall still not completed. icon_rolleyes.gif

Warranty = defect liability period. The 14-day deadline is invalid in law. You can claim warranty even on the day before the defect liability period expires. I think this is more on LAD calculation which ends on the date of VP. Keep your envelop safely. You may need it at the Tribunal later. vmad.gif

Looks like everyone is in the same boat - letter dd 31/12/13 but post marked 16/1/2014 and received 20/1/2014. We should follow Windsor Tower owners example to take class action against ML - after dust settled down. Were you charged a huge late payment interest? I am charged closed to $7,000 from nowhere as the statement of account shows no outstanding sum since Oct 2013. rclxub.gif

Agree. We have at least 3 years to claim back what is ours. So, get the key first. Just some cashflow problem but look at it this way, we can charge them interest at 10% pa. Better than FD rate! So, better starts keeping evidence. Envelop with post mark utmost important. Gather name of fellow victims handy as they can be your witnesses. Take action against ML does not necessarily mean expensive: see link:

ML had unilaterally increased the MF from 30c to 32c citing increase in cost as the reason. sad.gif

There are many people wanted to get what they entitled in FULL from ML. You may wish to join the owners group in facebook. Link to facebook is in earlier post. You would have noted that CTCT already filed his claims against ML with Housing Tribunal. And many of the owners will take that route. Simply, it costs little in terms of actual outlay as no lawyers are allowed in this type of proceedings. You just fill up forms and present your case to the Tribunal. It is also very fast - CTCT got the hearing within 1 month from filing. Unless you have plenty of cash to spend, and time to wait, Housing Tribunal is the way to go.
