Guys, those who often get something from US, mind to share some proxy with me?
*
my fren recommend me ComGateway
i intend to use that if i were to do any purchase from US. currently i am eyeing 5 Mass Effect figurines from biowarestore.com but the shipping for 5 of them is almost the price of the figurines itself doh.gif funny thing is, it's USD$12 in biowarestore and RMB2xx in taobao...the same exact ones blink.gif

but the only thing i wasn't sure from comgateway is that whether the shipment is trackable or not as they have both standard and express.

The keys all look like they sinking into the board...
Good for typing meh?  hmm.gif
*
it appears to be sinking because the gold alu top case is just sitting on top of an actual ducky.

QUOTE(silrave @ Nov 22 2013, 01:04 PM)
hi so fast next thread v18
gratz but guys my question get skipped ==
need u guys to guide me lol
jumping from gaming keyboard to mechanical keyboard lol
budget range rm 300 below , full sized
other features i not sure
not really understand on it XD
any brand recommened?
*
below RM300, locally u can get Ducky Zero or Rosewill RK9000, but most of us here would recommend u to go RK9000 for a new unit within that budget range.
if u are more adventurous and can stretch ur budget a bit more, get ikbc f104 as mentioned by our 016 brother.
that is great build keyboard for a mid-range with excellent value for money due to it's top quality keycaps material and "acceptable" design/font (and u get 1 more set of 104 keycaps for FREE!)

QUOTE(silrave @ Nov 22 2013, 01:12 PM)
just now lelong there see
corsair
k50 and k30 around my budget
but they said that is gaming mecha
gaming mecha and normal mecha got what different?
*
gaming mecha's price is high because of gimnicks and brand name. (kinda like buying overpriced nike shoe that comes with poor quality)
other mecha keyboard's price is high (or low) because they focus more on build quality and using standard layout.

QUOTE(silrave @ Nov 22 2013, 01:54 PM)
oo
i am blur on it
cause so far my sidewinder x4 perform well
just that i see those mechanical keyboard like so yeng
plan to upgrade
but dunno is it a wise choice lol
*
all gaming mecha keyboard will have this fate. some normal mecha keyboard with stock backlit will also suffer this same fate.
user posted image

this is what most normal mecha keyboard can do.
user posted image
little to no restrictions in modding keycaps design!
almost all after market keycaps will be suitable for normal mecha keyboard!

but if it's gaming mecha keyboard.
u may change the keycaps with after market keycaps.
but u'll face problem at the CTRL WINKEY ALT SPACEBAR row.
because 90% of gaming mecha keyboards comes with non-standard layout. so the aftermarket keycaps set wouldn't be able to fit in.
u'll need to compromise here n there or get novelty 1x size keycaps for winkey n fn.
and probably mixture of 1.25x modifier and 1.5x modifier, depending on the board's layout.

yea agree with u
my side winder x4 got few key also like that
oh ya my fren told me the mecha keyboard they are printed or what laser on every keycap
so it wont hilang the word

is it true?
wah lot mecha keyboard pengsan lol
so far in my list
K9000 ,Ducky Zero DK2108S
corsair K70 like not bad...but over my budget > <
ducky shinny series very expensive T T

gonna sell off my collection alienware tact x keyboard for mecha keyboard T T
*
pad printed can hilang.
laser etched...that i'm not too sure...but i think it could fade off easily also if the keycaps is using ABS.

if u want un-hilang-able fonts, there's 2 options. one is doubleshot, the other is sublimation dye process that is only found on PBT keycaps, which is pricier than it's ABS counterpart.

Am suffering from sticking spacebar with my newly purchased Ducky Shine 3 keyboard. Anyone experienced this before?
*
that's the first time i hear this on a stock spacebar.
the only time i experience sticking spacebar is when i use keycool spacebar on my ducky.

did u try removing the spacebar and re-insert it back properly?

Ekchelli, F-104 spacebar is known to be stucky too.

But for some reason, yours seem ok, LOL. rclxub.gif
*
eh, i can't use f104's spacebar on my ducky.
can't recall if my ducky's spacebar works on f-104 or not...but the reason i dun wan to use ducky's spacebar is because i start to see shine already...my OCD tak boleh accept tongue.gif

QUOTE(alikato94 @ Nov 22 2013, 03:24 PM)
guys, im wondering,, why no mechanical keyboard with million colours of led, we can change it as what we like
*
because the switch can use 3mm led only and all mkb pcb have 2 lubang for led only.
for the multicolour led, need to have at least 3 pins, some have up to 4 pins. i haven't seen any 3mm led with multicolour change (except for the 7 colour auto colour rotation ones) that has only 2 pins.

but there's a way to mod the board so that u can hot-swap leds without having to desolder it smile.gif
still...i was wondering whether the LED will be able to sit on the 18b20 pins properly without falling off?

clean it often ! tongue.gif
there the f104 keycaps DS PBT backlit one... same as the deck's iinw
*
hmm...the f104's doubleshot pbt keycaps isn't really a proper backlit keycaps.
the light is really dim as the molding is not properly distributed well for the light to get through to the words nicely.

QUOTE(Human10 @ Nov 22 2013, 03:27 PM)
Even the white one from massdrop also can't?
*
that one can. i'm using on my ducky right now, right now having red on white as my modifiers and F5-F8, and the rest is blue on white biggrin.gif blue is darn lovely.
sometimes tangan itchy feel like PM-ing feng to ask if he still got green on white and pink on white >.<

QUOTE(alikato94 @ Nov 22 2013, 03:28 PM)
i see, but how can membrane keyboard can change any colours?? such as logitech g510 and steelseries apex  hmm.gif
*
those are pre-soldered leds onto boards that has holes for 3 or 4 pin led already.

oh god this thread is growing so fast that I now stopped reading back..

anyway, I'm planning to do so soldering work on my POKER1.

I don't think I would do a lot soldering in the future, so any recommendation that
1. get someone with good tools to mod
or
2. buy cheap tools and mod myself..
*
the one in bolded...one word for it... JANGAN!
getting cheap tools will result in higher risk of damaging the board or burning down your house in extreme cases.
either get someone to do it for u, or get good proper tools with a lot of research and watch videos regarding soldering and desoldering. also, practice doing on dummy pcbs or buy some cheap engineering project kit and get hands on experience.

Coz Taobao agents  whistling.gif  .
Anyway just a matter of different exchange rate/charges.
Previously I saw most ppl suggest cloud so i just go ahead ask quote from him.
https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/19575/?author=cloud8318
*
he was asking for the CHEAPEST way...hence i didn't refer him to cloud directly since cloud isn't the cheapest tongue.gif
but no doubt to me, he's the fastest in both his service and replies.
