QUOTE(toomanyrulez @ Nov 24 2013, 11:58 PM) still looking for my 1st mkb.. hmm, it's best if u check out the first page of this thread for information about the different mechanical keyboard switches.now planning to get CORSAIR KEYBOARD VENGEANCE K70 how about that? is it any good? i don't really know about the brands and stuff.. planning to get one becoz i love typing.. i feel tired when typing for very long time.. i want to be a faster typer.. with my current kb, i easily feel tired.. if u still don't understand, then come back n ask about it best if u read and understand it urself, that's part of the fun! and since the first thing u mentioned that u want to look for keycaps before getting a mechanical keyboard...my advice to you is that u get a keyboard that have this condition:- 1) Standard layout keyboard 2) Using cherry stabilizer (this is optional, but recommended for newbie) and unfortunately, the k70 doesn't have the first condition. if you were to buy k70, and when you buy aftermarket keycaps set from taobao or anywhere else, chances are, u're unable to get a perfect fit on the bottom CTRL ALT SPACEBAR row. because the k70 doesn't follow the standard layout sizing. although maxkeyboard.com is coming out with a universal keycaps set, meaning it will contain keycap sizes that is compatible with k70. BUT, they will be the only keycaps u'll be getting for a perfect fit unless all the other keycaps manufacturer adopt this idea. so you rate your own priorities. if keycaps changing is important to you, forget about k70 or any other gaming keyboard (90% of gaming keyboards you can get locally here isn't standard layout) |

The 1.5x RGB are metal one? So attractive. makes me want to get a 60% board just because of that >.< and the RGB is OMGWTFROFLCOPTERBBQSAUCE but still won't it be weird to have only your 6 modifier keys as alu? LOL! QUOTE(toomanyrulez @ Nov 25 2013, 12:14 AM) if i like typing with "less effort" to press the key, which Switch type is suitable for me? sorry guys, don't know how to say it.. red/black is for you.red? brown? but i'm not sure what kind of less effort are you talking about LOL! still the best way to know, try the different switches with your own fingers... |

QUOTE(milky @ Nov 25 2013, 12:15 AM) ya was thinking either full WHITE LED den buy the plastic to cover up the LED or just straight Rainbow LED on it.. now still thinking if you are going to use the stock f104 keycaps with the plastic cover, i have doubt that it'll fit in.the stock f104 keycaps are already thick, it's thick doubleshot mind you. the plastic cover thing is designed for ducky's stock backlit keycaps which is single layer and it's thin. even that looks as if the plastic cover's already touching the keycaps. but i may be wrong...can someone verify if there's china ppl using the plastic cover on stock f104? |

QUOTE(toomanyrulez @ Nov 25 2013, 12:19 AM) blue switch to me doesn't need much force also but based on your description, theoretically you are either brown or red. brown have a small tactile feedback as you type. red is linear, there's no tactile feedback as you type and it's the softest stock switch among the mainstream, it is also known as red bewbs |
