How does the Keycool 87 compare with the Ducky zero 2087 tkl in terms of build quality?
And does the Keycool have a switch to 6kro mode?

Does it have a dip switch or a keypress config to change it to 6kro for full compatibility on certain motherboards?

as a common user as I am. Razer Blackwidow Tournament is very solid piece of hardware if you just want to have the mechanical keyboard. Down side is you can't modify as compared to other more 'professional' mech keyboard. Some sifu might have told you razer is #^^#^#^@%#%&@$. Well is true because they own very good kb. But as a non-hobbyist point of view, you can't go wrong with either of them.

I very recommend first time user get this because it is cheapest as price vs performance ratio. However you can top up another Rm50 to get a REAL mechanical keyboard - Ducky Zero Rm299.

sometimes right, that long warranty period is quite a pain in the rear for those who wants to mod stuff but feel it's a waste to void the warranty
but i don't think there's much mod u can do with a rk9000 right? unless u r those hardcore modders that taps deeper into the pcb n other stuff.

i read in GH a lot of report regarding the usb problem faced by rk9000, did we clarify whether this issue is not happening on the new batch of rk9000 anymore?

haha... I'm using Razer Mamba 4G 2012.
Rainbow color LED on scroll but no LED on Razer logo.
Normally also turn off the LED.

I believed most of the Razer product also having LED on the logo.

Actually have very large space if they want to install the LED.
The battery is lithium rechargeable, just like the phone battery, not taken much space tho.
Once you dissemble it, you will notice cheap quality build of screw etc.

me... generally use for typing..
some said that with mechanical keyboard, we can improve our typing pace, which is what I've doing..
currently using 5 years old logitech sk-s2930.. my typing now is between 50-60wpm..
hope my future mkb will help a bit, if not much..

Newly converted mech keyboard user reporting in!!

Today's trip to low yat plaza was quite the experience, selections were really limited and duckys weren't available but in the end I didn't bother.

Apparently I really love backlights... I didn't notice until i saw all those sexy keyboards lit up in store, so that automatically kicks steelseries and filco out. And then my girlfriend really likes blue so I had to find one with blue backlights, corsair k70 and razer blackwidow out =3=

In the end settled for Alvia Osmium (mx red), I really didn't notice this one until I got to the store, very happy typing on it. Truth be told I still can't tell which switch suites me better even after trying all of them, but I figured blues would wake my entire neighbourhood up so brown/red for me.

that pricing... how are these compared to taobao? I last time bought full set ds abs(group buy) which is not bad.. not sure about PBT quality in taobao.. are they worst than GH's one?

Generally, we classify DCSKeycaps profile into 3 types, one is OEM, one is SP and another is Cherry (in Chinese it is called ORI).
