They are a lot of whey protein brand out there. For whey protein, most of the brand functioning are normal to a lot of people. The difference between protein brand are mostly the taste and flavour. e.g dymatize gourmet really give nice milkshake taste chocolate of protein. Innerarmour whey protein are more like those concentrated porridge. Some might not like it. If you are looking for whey protein without fat or carbohydrate, then look for protein isolate. perhaps if you want muscle building faster. after workout, take acid amino tablet or powder.

QUOTE(Unomi @ Nov 21 2013, 02:07 PM) Hey, Hello,Mind asking what is the best protein brand for building muscle ? Price and Brand? And Sifu can recommend me? haha Thanks For my opinions, I suggest you 2 types of Protein Supply, True-mass & Gold standard whey protein. Depends types of your body, True mass suitable for skinny guy . Gold standard suitable for moderate guy. Depends on your body status. price range for both is around rm250-rm320 for 150+scoop . Regards |

i thought all whey protein are basically the same?
they are all proteins with all the essential amino acid profile. derivatives of soy/milk/magic doesnt actually matter because all these are going to be digested into amino acids anyway. what to consider then? taste. main deal breaker. price. specifically good protein perscoop and price ratio. some brand sells cheap but either low protein per serving, many scoops per serving or plain low servings per pack. of course, talking about whey here, not mass gainer. these are blends which supposed to be kinda unique to each brand. but for protein, in general sense, i prefer chicken breast. next would be fishes. tilapias are pretty economical and easy to cook too. any fish would be economical if you have direct access to the fishing docks. and them fish oils. and eggs! make sure to cook them as this increase the bioavailability. of course, you are free to have em raw incase you want to put them in shakes or ego boost but its pretty wasteful though. and dont throw away the yolks! those are the best part. dont worry about cholestrol. there are plenty of researches that proves dietery cholesterol are not linked to blood cholesterol. and i think eggs cholesterol are good hdl cholesterol. not your oils, fast foods and snacks bad ldl cholesterol. Ok I'll bite. I still maintain that protein is protein but the best tasting I've had was Myofusion. Then Dymatize. Musclepharm aint that bad either.
Nutrex.... works, but taste is hardcore. Not awful but not the best tasting powder out there. |
