lesser than 2.7K i presume. Regardless the recent survey shows 3.5k is the average living expense in KL (considering one is living moderately)

in my opinion you are being exploited, masters in engineering would at least get you 3K (i assume). regardless the learning opportunities they offer you, you hardly can survive with that much salary, unless your living in areas that have lower average living cost
