Hi

Just want to check out if anyone know what is the fresh entry paid for

Job : equity research analyst
Job Desciption : performs financial analysis
Company : MNC
Industry : Banking
Tenure : Permanent
Employment Level :Executive
Highest paper qualification/ education background : Acca

Any Idea ?
*
Graduate Equity Research people generally begin as associates and progress to analysts later on (the opposite of other IB roles)

If ur hired directly, u can expect to get 3-4k ish and if ur in a MT program u'll be pulling around 3.2k onwards..
did u apply for this job or did u get an offer?

To further this, I feel gen Y is much fortunate than the gen X today. Fresh grad with a degree can get from RM2K salary compared with previously fresh grad gen X which got much much lesser.
*
If Gen Y get job offer anything less than 2.8k it's considered low. btw 150k house last time is 750k now..

Consider ok? seems a bit not as same par as my peers with similar background.
*
U may be in a MO role but u are seriously underpaid for someone who has worked for 5.5 yrs. Most IBankers i know in the Middle Office should be looking at 7-8k at a minimum. You are getting less than most of the IB management trainees.. time to hop

How about those in FO with the same number of years? FO usually gets more, dont they?
*
Basic will be more but not that much.. Bonus would be much more during bull yrs.. btw, things have been slow in 2014 so one can expect less bonus (a lot less than 2012).

My previous company (local chinaman) was paying >5k (including bonus) for fresh grads to sit in office and write reports. Don't let those gen x influence us.

Job Title : Equity Analyst
Job Desciption : Write report and make recommendation on stocks
Years spent in company : 0
Company : MNC
Industry : Investment / Finance
Tenure : Permanent
Employment Level : Executive
Experience before joining : 2.5 years
Highest paper qualification/ education background : Degree
salary : RM10,000 (base)
Location: KL
*
Very true.. i know many fresh grads now making 3k (average) n 4-5k (above average) n some top tier ones making in the 5-8k range.. For those who accept the 1.5k job as an accountant believing that there's an oversupply of accountants tongue.gif then thats their value la since they accepted a job tht underpays them..

Fresh Graduate, demand for Strong Cable. LOL.
If you have tons of working experiences, then it is acceptable for you to demand strong cable.  doh.gif
Nowadays, it doesn't matter if you graduated from Aus or Local, you are same. It's how you perform during interview etc.

Jobstreet.com. Ask your niece to apply through that web or apply through company website

LOL! he didnt ask u for cable also lahh.. many ppl enter IB with cable all over the world..
eitherway i doubt u know whats cable also since u said "If you have tons of working experiences, then it is acceptable for you to demand strong cable" brows.gif brows.gif
