You might need to see whether there are any programs in conflict with ZA. I have a feeling that there might be a program that is being pesky. If not, you might need to reformat your com/ either that, or your RAM might have a problem(which I doubt).

Maybe you might need to read up and see for conflicts. Can't help you mean while, still stuck with my loads of school projects... SPM some more. Will try to help you when free. I never had a problem with Kaspersky 6.0 with ZA. Maybe configuration conflict?? Might happen though...

UnCleHenG, I believe GameSky mentioned that ZA crashes. If so,you cant even open ZA safely without the OS going bong-kers. I would suggest using Spybot or some program that can show the registrty for start up programs and remove the ZA entry from there like Vsmon and so on. Then only proceed with the other removing operations.

my internet connection is a bit unstable lately. Might consider checking ZA whether it is pesky.

I dunno. But ZA seems weird if 6.5 is always being noisy. Maybe need to read up further, or there is something wrong with the PC in the first place...?

Outpost is another firewall. It is quite good but is no simplicity program. I used ZA because my other family members are using the computer. They definitely will get confused... So, leave it with ZA. Sigh...

Kerio, nvr tried. But then, my com is in perfect order. I m using ZA Free Firewall. Nvr had a glitch. Maybe config settings do make a real h*ll of a problem. ZA 6.1 , fine with me.

So, it is very obvious at this moment, ZA 6.5 and Outpost is out of the list... Windows Firewall ah... not so sure about its reliability....

Quite good advice... But then I use Azureus (once in a blue moon, can't do torrenting on dial-up ler...), and there was no problem. My computer now is running fine. I didn't bother to update my ZA either. I am waiting until the coast clear sign from users first, can;t be a tester anymore, SPM coming... sigh, exams...

You can't say exactly unless you've seen the source code and found the conflict... (You know, we can definitely never have a chance to see ZA's source code). So, let's hope that this issues settles fast... sigh

I guess from the look of it, I would suggest everybody to stay out of updates until it is "user-certified" safe... Sigh... Zone-Labs... BUCK UP ...

Maybe ZA is afraid rthat having too may connections might be a Leak Test case or Port Scan. Frankly, ZA should announced their alterations and reasons. Anybody using the latest update? Any problems to date?

ZA, Resource hogger, well, not really that bad yet.. Though, what version and license of ZA you using?

svchost.exe, in my opinion is NOT related to ZA. It is suppose to be about Automatic Updates from MS. Please check for me. Thanks.

Goto File Hippo. They should have older versions of ZA.

OK. I know you problem now. It states something like missing MSVB(watever) .dll and it can't run right? Well, just installing and I already faced problems. Try outsourcing for other servers that has ZA setup files. I am quite afraid that your setup file is corrupted.

All the same... It is something buggy about ZA system... Anyway, I can gurantee 6.1 is perfect... Haven't met a problem yet.

Outpost--complicated. LOL. That is why I don't use it. No time to configure this and that. LOL.
