the question is, to be ported or to be enclosed?? which one is better??

What type of music yu listen. Which country woofer brand yu like most.and also
Come come back to budget, willing to spend.it got so many depend.

My music isnt consisten.. Haha.. electro, dubstep, 80's dicso, anything that sounds good.. us brand maybe?? Put the budget aside, what ur recommendation??

Control woofer movement with more authority and normaly is top or second rank not the cheaper one,n also good brand.(got some history ).2nd amplifier which could produce more than 500 watts.so now yu have sufficient subbass and upper bass.third do up yr front door soundproof hopefully yr front door mid bass could keep up with subwoofer energy.(so yu have your full beat in yr music) ..ok goodnite

ur budget?

small amp power = ported
proper amp power = ported or sealed depend on sub spec
no space / front sub = sealed
got space = ported with proper tuned port

I'd say sealed would be generally better for music as opposed to ported as the bass tends to be 'faster' and 'tighter', in a sense. However in low-power applications ported subs can be tuned to a specific frequency range to sound louder than it should than the equivalent sealed sub so if you're targeting efficiency and you know how to design one, you can build one specific to your needs.

The reason why I'd recommend sealed is in most music applications, as bass should not 'boom' like in home theatre systems which generally come with ported subwoofers. Again, this is to minimize floor space but it is also to mimic sound effects better such as explosions, gunfire (boomy and rumbling) and the like which generally do not show up in music.

Personally I like sealed box since it's more natural and accurate, more suitable for all kinds of music, and enclosure size is smaller.
