Security Vulnerabilities

The problem is that like all software there are bugs in the operating systems used by the baseband modem makers. If there are bugs then there are security vulnerabilities. If there are security vulnerabilities then there is a doorway for hackers to get in.....

With the recent NSA / Snowden revelations I shouldn’t be surprised if somewhere in the future we find out that governments have been exploiting vulnerabilities in baseband processors to listen to phone conversations and track the whereabouts of persons of interest!

Try manual add - not working, using Note 2 Hidden Features - not working.

Finish downloading Echoe ROM v5, but after some readings in here and XDA, I decided to hold on to flashing it. Seems like the Chinese base is not that stable.

I'll wait for a newer UK base to be available then only I flash since the stock MJ7 ROM is holding quite good on my device. No issue on connection other than the Email FC but I can live with it

But I want that new Samsung Chinese IME keyboard, UK firmware confirm don't have... and the MK2 standard Samsung keyboard is same as UK MJ7.


That Taiwan MK2 no issue, the only issue is the Smart Dialer.

what smart dialer u talking about? stock samsung dialer with the smart dialing function?

Based on screenshot, what I notice so far about the new keyboard is there is an additional top row to show available option that hide under the key next to the spacebar. It is much more easy to access but other than the cosmetic change, any other changes to the functionality of the keyboard?

However the temptation is strong

I revert back to UK MJ7 stock now.

Smart Dialer is way much important to me. I can't stand on phone without that feature.

When you use the phone dial pad, it can search the contact name instead of number.

Example: You keying 533, it will search out all contact start with JEF* but this Taiwan base not search the contact name start with JEF* instead they search all your contact number that have digit of 533.

oh so its the t9 search function right. the stock mj7 dialer have this feature?

i saw an xposed module that can change that, you try look around in the xposed installer app

Yup, that's the one. All this while Note 3 has this feature including the MJ7 but it seems that MK2 doesn't have that function which could due to the csc thingy

just get other dialers in playstore that have this function. cuz this echoe rom is too great to give up just because of the dialer.

Try all, none is working, my phone is no batt now. Can't try anything already. Wait after charging.

Confirm is CSC, as the UK CSC make it appear back but then no Mobile Data.

** My phone now already at Pure Stock MJ7. Will try others maybe tmr.
