anyone had collection of transformer headmasters purchased during 80's. I seen hardly anyone discuss about them. these are retro toys brought during 1987. they cost average about rm80 that time?
I m still keeping these below.

QUOTE(guarayakha @ Jan 21 2014, 01:34 PM) Most of mine was given away to my younger cousins/nephews (which i regret the day after, lol). The only G1 originals I still have is Victory Leo(RM99.9), StarSaber(RM129.9) and SixShot(Forgot price). hardly can find any these at shops these days. can I say collector items. wonder anyone had collection of fullset. autobots headmasters & decepticons terrorcon. QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jan 21 2014, 01:55 PM) the thing with G1 is, as cool as it were/are, it's just bricks. i sold off my headmaster highbrow, powermaster OP & darkwing and sixshot to make room for their newer G1 oriented reiterations. they are indeed solid built and heavier like bricks. the kinda plastic they built the toys. quality way far better than nowadays. but more costly those days. money hard to earn too.

I still had both of then (good condition) in showcase and their accessories. unfortunately the boxes & manuals are no longer there. one reason they turned yellow and became brittle.
wondering how much they can sell. if come with box and good condition.

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jan 21 2014, 03:01 PM) what i meant was, they hardly can pose. minimal articulations. so they're like bricks in the display case. not possible to do any type of action pose. by today's standard, even my kids won't play with it. no offense though, just my view on it. I agree with your point on this about the articulations. more less collectors keeper for us. when we highly anticipate G1 cartoons after school days. they bring back memories.

calling all Transformers veteran collectors. do u all still keep original transformers set dated back during late mid 80's. seriously these are genuine products from transformers creator homeland of japan. HASBRO 1987 TAKARA CO. LTD. 1987 JAPAN one thing for sure not much you can articulate. but these stuffs are memorable pass times during younger days. when i recall having come back from school. never want to miss any episode back then. they hold sentimental values of the past. here is one of my collection that is autobot chromedome. but of course there are many recent new releases. hardly can see headmasters in the market from the same original manufacturer. then again these are consider rare finds especially the original sets. i also took picture to prove their authenticity of the product and date. these items should be better to keep safe from childrens. so if damaged already where can find no more. besides we can always buy newer ones for childrens to play about. this especially the 3rd party made chromedome with full articulation in mind..

QUOTE(alanyuppie @ Feb 13 2014, 03:34 PM) I doubt that price. My first outing with frens to the mall in early 90s saw him buy a similar sized headmaster Weirdwolf at 39.90. I clearly remember the price coz I poorfag and bought a smaller-sized Headmaster Horri-bull at $29.90. first of all. you need to find out if this is first release. fyi the next release after that is cheaper whereby the factory itself produces in quantity. secondly are u getting the ori made and patent in japan? first thing takara by then outsource operations to china. no doubt how prices are brought down. till it was later merge became TOMY TAKARA. u also need to know there are many fakes around. which obviously cheaper than the original. but it looks like the original circulating in the market. i got another one a headmaster triple changer cost rm10 more expensive than chromedome.

here is my next set.... u may guess who he is. too bad it's dark so when i use flash the lighting relects. HASBRO 1987 TAKARA CO. LTD. 1987 JAPAN
this is what real stuffs are made of.... genuine JEPUN MADE PUNYA. my wishlist is to have all the G1 characters for the headmaster. 1 or 2 already cost me a bomb. so have to make do with 1 from autobot and other from decepticons... This post has been edited by toh2020: Feb 13 2014, 11:46 PM

here is a weblink for owners to check on the valuation of their transformers collection. for chromedome price is US$20+ to US$30 that time during 1987. when our exchange rate was around US$1 = rm2.50. so after import duties and taxes, store profits ended up around near rm80. the pricing is going up on yearly basis depending on the condition. there are high value especially toys proven made in japan especially during 80's no KO, honestly 1st releases are obviously freaking expensive that time and limited too. due to manufacturer are recovering their RnD cost. they inturn sent the mold to china to do mass production. no doubt plastic quality still far better and solid... for owners who disposes their G1. well when u notice the prices in USD gone up due to rarity. http://www.transformerland.com/price/G1/He...ters/ChromedomeSO ANYONE WANNA SHARE 80'S TRANSFORMERS COLLECTION.
