ahem, as long as we clinge a CL spot and we are also ahead of everton at the end of the season  tongue.gif

They may play good football and they only lost once. But they draw too many games as many as their win. So if they can maintain that statistic, I'm sure we'll be ahead of them come end of season.

Liverpool could be lining up a possible move for West Ham midfielder Mohamed Diame.
It is believed that Diame has a release clause of £3.5 million. He earns something around £50k per week. (Sports Direct News)

I was surprised when we faced WH Diame is like not exist on the pitch, rarely make any significant move

Also, people kept criticising Lucas for committing too many fouls.
Up to date, Lucas has committed 27 fouls, 5th in the league.

Its one of the reason why fans are eager for him to be replaced.

But guess who committed the most fouls?
Its Wanyama who tops the chart with 33 fouls.
Not really a suitable candidate eh?
*
Depends on where the foul is committed. Good DM commits foul further from goal and avoid conceding free kick in dangerous area.

So Arsenal is currently losing to ManC. Hopefully we can take advantage of that and close the gap.

But worried with our game vs City. They seem to be free scoring. Aguero on fire man.
*
Yup, they have too much quality going forward. The only way to get points is to outscore them. Suarez need to get double hatrick biggrin.gif

Ideal lineup for the match smile.gif

But I would put Skrtel ahead of Agger. Thought he was solid actually, not taking those own goals into account.

Agger's current form is worrying
*
Yup, Agger defending against powerhouse mcity attacking is worrying. But we wills see after Cardiff match who is fit

Well not surprised with Sterling, he is on the rise since last match. I say the tactic worked so far. We never stopped running and got two goals. Coz with that kind of tactic we surely will have to slow down some time in 2nd half. And thanks to the goals, we can afford to do that.

Hendo is the unsung hero for me. He doesn't score much, he is not clinical. But he unsettles defense and let Suarez does the rest. His strength is in getting at the right position at the right time.

And now we know Mignolet first touch is doh.gif

QUOTE(led_zep_freak @ Dec 16 2013, 02:01 AM)
They said we can't beat the top teams.
They said we can't win at away grounds.
They said we can't keep a clean sheet.
They said we will miss Gerrard.
They said Henderson is toothless.
They said Sterling is ineffective.

In a game where Sakho was a towering figure, where Lucas was solid , where Suarez was unplayable, where Flanagan was impressive, where Sterling flourished... I thought Jordan Henderson was MOTM. I was genuinely worried when word went around that he might not be fit for the match. But boy are we glad he was. Was in his usual energizer rabbit mode at the same time linked up very well with the players around him. His best game in a red shirt.

Best moment of the match? The look on Dalglish's face when Flanno scored that cracker. thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Bring it on Cardiff!
*
This win will mean nothing if we don't get 3 points against Cardiff. Most of us expectedmaximum we get 1 point from this game. But we got 3 so its bonus well earned. Lets consistently win the winnable game

If anything the manner in which we ripped into Spurs does suggest (again) that we may he ready for life after Gerrard. Not the first time we'll be having this discussion either. Without everything having to go through him, the other flourished. They were there to pick up the slack and they did so in emphatic fashion. I think Stevie is still an important member of the squad and if anything it does indicate that we can afford to rest him every now and then even against top quality opposition.
*
I think we can slowly reduce number of games he play. Maybe he can play against less pacey team where he has the time to distribute the ball.

On another note, I think last nite we did not lose possession in midfield as many as in previous matches. Maybe only on two occasions. But when we did, the other midfielder were quick to offer support which was refreshing.

And we did allow Spurs to have shot/attempt. And against more clinical opponents that will convert into goal.

Dat boner and dat expression on Hendo's face.  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

This pic was snapped at a wrong angle...

But who cares right? All of them were enjoying the moment. The joy on Suarez's face every time we scored was priceless.

Yes and also Sterling got a closer look whistling.gif
