Anyone else has removed the shatter proof film? I'm using my XZU without any casing or screen protector, and it got a bit scratch on the shatter proof film.. Maybe want to remove it.. Lol

I believe update will come for 3G model as well.. As Sony announced that XZU will get kitkat, not only LTE model.. But as usual, a bit late

i washed mine whenever i feel it dirty, especially after rough eating session such as steam boat and all, got oil and food residue on it.. sometime i just wash to remove oily fingerprints..

yeah me too, actually now i doesn't really demand for kitkat as long as this phone running smooth

U mean no update for 3g model, ever? Source? As I think update for 3g model is not available now, but will come later.. Sony announced that Kitkat update for XZU, does not mentioned 3g model is left out.

ya me too, i found that it is quite a durable phone.. but i wonder why some experienced screen cracked, maybe those unit are already defective unit out of factory, i mean, maybe faulty manufactured, the screen are too thin or something, while the rest are ok

like this i will hold on with 4.3 lah first.. as i see not much different with KitKat, saw on my Note 3, out of box its still on jellybean, then got 2 times updates, i simply updated, i see not much different..

Here's my take on this two device:

XZU:
The good
-better build
-spacious screen
-snappy stock rom
- i prefer Sony UI over Touchwiz
- watching movie on this wins anytime
-browsing web and reading also wins on this

The cons
-heavier
-camera not good


Note 3:
The good
-S-pen
-Better camera (i mean a lot better)
-better for one handed handling
-louder speaker

The cons
-Touchwiz. it feels heavy.. XZU UI definitely snappier
-still same samsung feel, plastic


Display quality XZU vs. Note 3: my take is both are nice, XZU's is clean an nice, a decent gentleman feel (lol); while Note 3 give u an exciting feels, energetic and vibrant.

XZU screen is 6.4", while Note 3 screen is 5.7".. 5.7" in already very big, but i wonder why i feel it is not that big (screen estate/space feel, not the actual outer physical).. this is why.. the screen is big, but the UI is not "spacious". i compared the Note3 with my friend's samsung phone, i noticed that, on smaller screen, the icons and bars are proportionally smaller compared to on bigger Note 3 screen, the icons and bars are also proportionally bigger.. it looks like everything are gotten "enlarged/stretched".. so, the bigger screen doesn't give much more spacious feel than it suppose to.. compared to XZU UI, if i compare Note 3 side by side, the icons are much more smaller, the screen estate feels much more spacious.. thus when using XZU, it does really give me the benefit of the large screen.. that is brilliant.. if u know what i mean.. i think it would be better if samsung can optimize the UI to give more spacious feel.

common question would be, which one would i choose to keep? if it is for a portable multimedia device, i will definitely opt for XZU.. but what makes me torn apart is just the S-pen on Note 3, which is very good for productivity tool. love it.. so, what i want is XZU to have S-pen fucnstions, and better camera would be a bonus.

Too bad if u rely too much on phone camera, u have made a mistake by purchasing XZU.. We are hoping for upgrade to improve it, but till now nothing happened, and I think what's it we have to live with this.. I've said this multiple times, for XZU if display and performance is what u want, but don't whine over the size and camera

Only XZU camera is good lah.. Other Sony flagship like Z and Z2, even the coming Z2 have good camera

the main benefit of XZU is the screen estate, it feels like using a tablet, but definitely a lot lot more easier to handle than a tablet... using Note 3, i can't believe that it feel much much smaller until i really own it.. the screen physical size on Note 3 is big, but the UI is also all "big", looks like an enlarged Touchwiz if u put it side by side with smaller samsung phone.. it does not take the advantage of the big screen.. but camera and s-pen is awesome.

but whats the point buying highly clocked proc smartphones then.. most flagship now is 2.0ghz above..

Faulty camera? Normally if done factory reset does not solve the problem, I would send to SC

Are u on kitkat already? Maybe a bug
