Oooo...what is the brand of the string? Practice more then, good for your brain. About shoulder rest, make sure you set it up to some different positions to find out which one is suitable for you. smile.gif

I just tried double bass few days back, the string is thicker than bass.

As I'm a violinist, haven't try cello but the double bass is really a big father. shakehead.gif
