The price is even lower than listed on xiaomi official site. Are you referring to RM or RMB? If is rm1k then it should be correct since the tegra 4 version is price at 1999 rmb from what I know

Depends on which target user actually. U ask aroundsome ppl heard is China phone first impression ask me back clone set, then ask me so cheap quality OKor not....... doh.gif when want a good phone then say price expensive. Show u cheap phone u scare quality....

This phone compare to moto g, it wins the camera function and screen. battery drop faster then moto g. Last time use hongmi WiFi in 30 Min battery drop 20%...
*
Well China phone ain't for those 1st timer as you will always get the impressions that you mentioned. For me I will lean against those much well known brand such as xiaomi, huawe, zte. Other brand like those small chili even selling cheaper with slight better specs also I will neglect to purchase

not trying to spoil your day... but at that price, could it be fake? have you verified the authenticity?

if you go a few pages back, there's a forummer who talked about his purchase of a fake Hongmi

appreciate it if you can enlighten us. cheers

noted~ tq.

now Taiwan wan beli macam need grab 1 ... kns .

This is because there not much rival in its price range, which is why hongmi is selling like hotcake. Even though honor 3c has similar spec and coolpad halo has even more op spec (octa core at below 1k yuan), both phone only has td-scdma which is limited to China mobile users only

I'm going to Shanghai soon. Are Xiaomi phones e.g. Hongmi, MI3, available for retail sale?

Anyone who's had experience buying from Shanghai before, I'd love to hear your tips... where to shop, how much to bargain, fakes (can't believe there are fake China phones, thought those ah chan's would only do fake western stuffs... doh!!!)

cheers mates!!

Yeah...酷派大神F1 if possible, immortal spec at mortal price. brows.gif

Plan to grab 1 if WCDMA version available.

Too bad its just only TD-SCDMA like Honor 3C

alternativehype: anyway I think only fake phone exist for xiaomi brand as didnt heard much on other major china brand. There are various brands which majority might not even heard or see before, such like ahmoi, dont know got ahcai or not only biggrin.gif

If you really need phone urgently, better look for other options as I think my sis will only be back around April. I just planning to get one for my old folks only.

2gb phone with reasonable price which could find easily in local is huawei g700, which definitely at a slight higher price range compare to rm600+ range. If purchase online, there should be quite some model available with octa core 2gb ram at price range of 250+ usd to 300 usd range.

Mediatek quad core vs snapdragon 400......which is better in terms of performance?

Difference shouldn't be noticeable since both also using arm A7. Moto g should provide you with latest android version, but without expansion card slot, where hongmi is generally cheaper by default before hike up with expansion card slot, but still at 4.2 jelly bean

But seriously with 2gb left space what can one installed except few only basic app.

It's common for phone at that price range to have only 4gb ROM la dude, and the actual accessible is bout 1.5gb only. Want more and better, folk out more for a better pjone

Well, for Xiaomi company, you would expect less user complaining about their device usability rather than people complaining lack of stock available for purchase. sweat.gif
*
Which is why we could now see major brand like huawei creating a new brand just to counter xiaomi in the sub 1k and 2k yuan sector since xiaomi can't provide enough stock for the market

you should be able to find the backup and reset function in your phone setting ma, which you could reset to default factory settings.
