QUOTE(tchau83 @ Feb 24 2014, 10:27 AM) Yes, but are the updates significant? Do the updates just tweak icons to make them look better? Fix bugs which almost never occur? Miui has weekly updates which addresses users input and fixes bugs, it is even more up to date than Kitkat, which is why some users prefer Miui over Kitkat. It is also very fast if you read the reviews compared to other manufacturers using different roms, Miui is much faster and no lag even with 1GB ram.I doubt that Hongmi will get updated to KitKat. I read somewhere that MIUI phones are generally slow to update to the most recent versions of android due to MIUI's complexity. Its easier to update lightly skinned ROMs. IMO, for future proofing, getting KitKat is important for phones with just 1GB ram. |

QUOTE(walikard @ Feb 24 2014, 11:50 AM) It has it Uncle, if I am not mistaken can support until 32GB. Yes, if no ext card support means no buy...Worry not, it has http://asia.cnet.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-46730997.htmfrom the review I also can spot the external sdcard slot.. so it seems ok then. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Feb 24 2014, 01:26 PM) My mistake than about the external sdcard can the sdcard be assigned as the main memory? But seriously with 2gb left space what can one installed except few only basic app. Just found that there is a way to assign the sdcard as main memory to solve the memory issue :- http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/replace...-sd-card.22100/ Those who have this phone can try and post your feedback? Was deciding between this and moto G, end up getting the moto G because of the superior speed and more on board memory. Also the screen of the Hongmi when turned off is grey colour instead if black, makes it look cheap. Most online resellers selling them way too high at rm600-650 makes it too close to other better performers like Huawei G700, moto G, lenovo s650, s930,p780.
The Mi2S going for rm899 is also more attractive for users who want compact phones but 4.3in too small for me. This post has been edited by DannyOP: Mar 5 2014, 12:37 AM |

QUOTE(eidda @ Mar 14 2014, 05:16 PM) that photo was using extra lens, Moto G isn't as bad as everyone says, I used it for a few days and looks acceptable if there is some light source. However indoor and low light it doesn't fare well.no any phone even lumia 1020 cant take like that micro without extra lens.. i am user nokia n8 and 808 pureview before, camera quality redmi to me is super shit.. but better if compare to moto G, refer the website blog. nice photo in day light but worst when night shoot. below rm600 i cant complain to much.. |
