I did my TA October 2013.

After a few months of silence (7 months to be exact), i got called up for SI in May 2014.

Now the silence continues..i dunno, should i call the HR guy or just wait for another 10 years or so?

I am still waiting for my date for my SI it almost 3 weeks.       

i'm not sure whether this is valid/neccesary or not...but here it goes..

for those of u who r badly wanted to get into petronas, there's one thing that u should keep in mind;

DO NOT PUT HIGH HOPES...let it be SI/TA/ChitChat dates, it's all no-go until u signed the offer letter.

most of the times, ade yg dah passed TA/SI what not, last2 offer letter xde.

so, to avoid misery/letdown/devastation/crushed, just let it gooooo....apply and be patient, be very patient.

could we know the position offered b4 the SI?

i'm a fresh graduate.. so dont know the position being offered...hehe..

For SI, the HR needs to confirm the availability of the Senior Manager or General Manager to evaluate you. You need to be patience. I know waiting is nightmare. But we have no choice. Just pray hard. Nothing is impossible to god. All the very best.

         

They asked me to send the latest resume during the end of technical assessment. And after that I follow up whether they received my resume or not. Then they reply this. Sad day. 

Hahah. Is it a sign that I would never have the chance to work in Petronas after this? Tbh, I did not have much time to prepare as the day before, I worked till late night. Haizz. But they say my resume will be re-circulated. That means what? 

haha. but your reply is more convincing lehh. my reply seems like rejected =.="

oic, now just wait, pray pray pray. and a bit of luck I guess. 

what is the post you attend for? Mine accounts or finance dept.

To my experience, the communication for the results (let it be TA/SI), is really depends on the HR focal person incharged. Like mine, she said that her style is that she'll send an email for recommended candidates (TA) in 2 weeks time. for not recommended, she will either send an email too or way later afterwards.

I know how everyone is seeking to be with PETRONAS pretty badly. but as we go along, we have to accept that PETRONAS is not the only company. once, u r in the biz (oil n gas) u'll be surprised to see how this industry is actually a vast arena for us to venture into.

ok, now I need to prepare for my SI tomorrow morning, pkl 8 dah kene ade sane...what the eff..arghh...

yeap..and again, it's better off to gain experience outside and be good at it. later apply and join petronas as Technical Professional (TP).

the pro to join petronas as grad/young exec is the career development (in general). so it can be either way. since it's easier to gain experience outside as compared to joining petronas...so just make full use of every chances.

it's good to have plan but dont limit to petronas only. create the opportunity and fly high....chewahh...

yeah, officially got the SI results! 

Finally after 5 chit-chat sessions and 1 structured interview, I will start my job at PETRONAS this 1 oktober..

1st chit-chat: With PETRONAS LNG (failed)

2nd chit chat: With PETRONAS Trading (Pass the chit-chat but not selected to proceed to SI)

3rd chit-chat: With PETRONAS Finance Capibility (Pass the chit-chat but not selected to proceed to SI)

4th chit-chat: With PETRONAS Trading Labuan (Pass the chit-chat and proceed to SI)

Structured Interview: SI for PETRONAS Trading Labuan (Pass the Si but suddenly the position that i suppose to filled was filled by someone else.)

5th chit-chat: With PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (Pass the Chit-chat then continue for medical check-up as I have pass the SI before this)

Finally 1 Oktober 2014 will report duty at KLCC.

Seriously, It has been a very long wait for me. Patience is virtue guys.
