18/6: Submitted CV
25/7: Chit chat session.
26/7: Submitted Docs
23/8: Received CBI invitation.
6/9: CBI.
28/9: CBI Successful

Haven't received anything after that. I know that most of the candidates here waited for months. Hence, patience is virtue they said. So I keep chilling and waiting, hopefully will receive good news soon.

Btw, is it inappropriate to follow up via whatsapp? Since I got the HR number when we have a quick chit chat session and no reply when I follow up via email. Thanks

The waiting game is real by looking at the number of applicants.

Depends on your performance. if you are a performing star, 12 months. let say your salary is rm10,000/month, you will get rm130,000 for that month.

Deduct EPF still a lot i presume.

I feel u bro. Normal bro kena ghost ni. If they dont have any info uet, a simple reply like 'we have yet to receive any updates from the top management' is more than enough.

but, they decided to ghost you and leave you hanging till dry

Similar with my experience. Until now no news. Its been 2 months since they announced my CBI result:

18/6: Submitted CV
25/7: Chit chat session.
26/7: Submitted Docs
23/8: Received CBI invitation.
6/9: CBI.

since they announced the result, I have been sending a follow up every once in two weeks including by whatsapp with the hiring team.

Just until mid of Nov, I stopped emailing.. A simple reply like "Sorry we dont receive any update yet for your appplication" means world to us which have been in this waiting game.

But yet, they chose that way..

Same here. My HR friend said the HR team will find a suitable candidates, offered the candidates to the hiring manager, the shortlisted will be called for interview, and then the hiring manager will select which one to welcome onboard, chances everyone shortlisted successful in their CBI were high.

Then the chosen one will be offered with the position. The others which had their CBI successful, will be shown as "RECOMMENDED" for two years in their CareerX data base. Throughout the 2 years, just pray some of the OPUs or any vacancies open, match with your job description. Then u will be called for chit chat session (without CBI since u passed) for offer letter, career updates, salary etc.

I did not apply thru career X, thru jora. But after the interview i created career X profile, surprisingly there was already my record there saying “under consideration” for the position which i applied for. Its like auto synchronized 🤭😁

In my opinion, decision can only be made once all of these 3 candidates completed the CBI.

Let say all of these 3 candidates passed CBI. Its up to the HIRING Manager to choose.

the other 2 will be kept for 2 years in the hiring team database as "Recommended" candidates.

I also received below email in sept. Until now no news. In case you have any updates, please let us know too.

I heard that some of you guys recently was contacted by the Hiring Team for the Job Offer. I guess in the end, the long waiting game is really worth it. Congratulations to you. For the others who still waiting, please dont stop dreaming, your time will come.

Just received a call from Petronas Talent Acquisition personnel asking my notice period, current salary and expected salary. But she didnt mentioned about offer or go for medical checkup. Does it means something?

This is probably the best reply and actually made my day. But I didnt put any hopes, as i used to think a lot about it first few months. Nevertheless just hoping for the best to come. Finger crossed 🤞

Mine didnt work like that. For 3 months after my CBI passed, I have been following up by email every biweekly, after that call their office number and then whatsapp also no reply. Got blue tick every time. Maybe different pic different style. Until after i have decided to move on, someone from talent team called asking for the notice period and expected salary.
