Well, I would say, PETRONAS has restructured its interview style.

Mine was like, two stages.

1) answer cubik logik (intermediate) which consist of sort of math question, english, logical thinking and one more type (in which I forget)

2)Straight go for the SI. However, the SI is only for 1hr, and it was strictly on Behavioral Interview.

Btw, I am from UTP, Chem Eng and PETRONAS scholar as well.

Just received the recommendation status saying that I am recommended on 16/1/2018.

Hope doesnt need to wait soo long for the offer letter😭.
