instead of leaving V1 running to create confusion and troublesomeness, why not just close V1 for easier maintenance?

I see the thread starter had already close it.

Hi, P780 user! I want to ask about your opinioin whether should I buy this phone or wait a little until s3 turun harga, below RM1000 (not rrp). Wanna to replace my favourable S Advance, which had been stolen along the sim card and sd card(so sad, have many things inside it) cry.gif cry.gif .
These are my requirements:

1. I use only 1 simcard.
2. I hate to charge frequently
3. Large screen are welcome ( but with good display).
4. Not a hardcore user here, prefer to play high graphic game with my Vido N70s tablet. ( The battery management for this tablet is so very amat poor).
3. Prefer a smaller screen with lighter mass to play racing game, like NFS, ASPHALT, play running game, like temple run, subway surfer.
4. Love to take photos biggrin.gif rclxms.gif (but not an avid photographer-lah blush.gif ).
5.Good sunlight legilibility.
6.Internal storage must be more than 4GB.

Honestly are you really sastified with P780? Does the inside system have bugs and errors? I had read that some of you had dead pixels problem, how many got the same problem? Is the stock sms app same with samsung one? How's the after sale service?

I need your help to make a good purchase. icon_question.gif

Why everyone keep comparing this phone with S3? I personally think this phone will meet your requirement if

1. Need high availability
2. Less concern about brand.
3. Lazy to fiddling with all those fancy yet buggy custom ROM (less dev community)
4. if you ever compare this phone with much higher performance and expensive smartphone. Hahaha [CODE]

Hi, thanks for all the replies.
Actually I'm not the one with brand-conscious. I don't care whether if it was Samsung, Sony, LG, Lenovo or etc as long they got good build quality ad better support from communities all around the world (not necessary from all the part of the world, janji have support from peoples) and the company itself.

I like to root but I don't enjoy fiddling with custom ROM. I know it is fun but playing with custom ROM will give me a headache and putting my device in warranty-less state. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

I am using s3+extended battery 3k with kit kat laugh.gif battery life is awesome.

Got this phone from my supplier, notice got 5 dead pixel and send back to supplier for warranty claim, replacement one should arrive this week smile.gif

It seems that P780 suffering dead pixels. Perhaps I should wait more for second batch. You use 4GB or 8 gb version?

QUOTE(supermomolvl2 @ Nov 25 2013, 09:41 AM)
Fix your numbering

1. S3
2. P780 unless you using S3+extended battery, I am using one with anker 4.4k battery. Only charge 2 days once.
3-8. S3

Kindly note that S3 have Very Good support from XDA developer. They even have the latest 4.4 rom. Might flash to it when I am free.
This is due price of s3 become cheaper and cheaper. Second hand s3 less then rm9xx.xx-rm7xx.xx
*
P780 camera and display are good but S3 is much better. But I don't expect S3 features in a midrange devices with
price below than RM 850. Contrariwise, P780 got louder sound, bigger screen, bigger stock battery and a way cheaper. And oh ya, I am thinking about the new set of S3. smile.gif I'm scared to buy secondhand one because I read a lot about people sell their S3 due to various problems occured on their device like SUDDEN DEATH ISSUE, FREEZING, LAGGING and they also had ''raping'' them. tongue.gif Can get new one with price below RM 1111 thumbup.gif .
Wait longer and the price will go down more rclxm9.gif . Patience is virtue. I've learnt not to rush buying.

I don't know whether this info is true or not but a friend of mind suggested an easy way for checking dead pixels. Just launch the camera app and later cover the camera lens with your finger or other soft thing but opaque. If you see white dots on the now black screen, the phone got dead pixels problem.

the exact price i'm not sure... but 4GB should be RM899 and 8GB should be RM939...
*
Really?!! shakehead.gif 3 days ago, when I survey harga for new smartphones, a seller tried to fool me into buying a Lenovo p780 8GB Version for RM 1099. It was hard to believe as I read at this forum and somewhere else on Internet about the price should be below than RM999.

LESSON : Before buying new gadget, do some homework first ( research, survey ). Or else you will be fooled. cool2.gif

Kasi zoom in abit after taking photo and u'll see it is not sharp. I am using the max megapixel also
*
Do you zoom before taking photo? The zooming for camera phone is digital zoom not optical zoom and yes gambar x sharp.

By the way, do anybody mind to share their photos taken by p780 camera? Anything such as scenery, food, pets, family members, model figure, notice, letter, billboard, tiket saman, pages from a book or selfies... wink.gif wink.gif in low light and daylight condition. Prefer not to sangat dekat dengan objek when taking photo. rclxms.gif

I don't like amoled too
But nexus was different. I hate note 2 screen most probably screen protector ruin the beautiful of the screen not sure

Is it ok if get 4gb and use external? Or i must buy 8gb..i do hve m card
4gb/8gb internal seems to low for a phone this days..
*
Better you take the 8 GB version. If you play game with your phone, some of the game data will be stored on the phone. You can transfer the data to external SD card but I afraid the game data was unreadable when you launch a specific game. JB somehow complicated than Gingerbread. This is just my theory as I don't own P780.
