I'm planning to do a small upgrade on my Kelisa sound system and I'm looking for recommendations from all the sifu's here. Here's what I have now:

Head unit: Pioneer DEH-3750MP
Front speaker: Rottweiler component set (don't know the RMS but peak power is 200W)
Rear: None
Subs: Some cheap sub X2 in wooden enclosure (it was free).

I'm looking to get better sound quality but sadly, I'm on a budget. I considering either getting better components or perhaps adding an amp. What do you all think? My budget is RM 500.

How are those subwoofers powered? If there's no amp for them, i guess you could always get a 4-channel to power the whole setup first and next stop changing to better front components.

Gracias guys for your advice. Looks like getting an amp is the way to go. Can anyone suggest what amp is good for me price range (RM500)? Also where's a good place to get it installed and tuned?

Am not too sure what good new amps you can get for RM500, it's not a really "healthy" budget. If you can, try looking for used units from ICE enthusiasts, most of the time, they keep their equipment in good condition and usually sell off to get better upgrades. If you raised your budget to RM800, there's a pretty good unit of Steg 75.4x for sale now. wink.gif

Good luck ICEing.

Where's the best place to mount the amp in a Kelisa? Also, will there be a loss of power from the engine as a result of installing an amp?

Add a board behind the rear seat, or do panelling! No loss of power

Excellent to hear that I won't be losing any power. Also curious how an amp is installed. Where is the power drawn from? A friend told me that its directly fromt the battery but if this is the case, will the amp always be 'on'?
