Its CVT FLASHING. I don't know what that is and the person who I spoke to does not know either.
CVT flushing is meant for the CVT transmission fluid. I'm assuming they will flush it because they've quoted me for 6L fluid which is about right for a flush.

Yeah the door will lock after 20km if i'm not mistaken. I read that only the ECU needs to be adjusted for this. But Mitsubishi says that a hardware needs to be installed along with an ECU adjustment which would cost approx RM300.
I would definitely reject these things, waste of money. Are you 100% sure that Oil system care/cleaner are additives like X1R?

I'm so pissed right now seeing the prices that Mistubishi quoted me. Such a rip-off. Charging double for engine oil and the damn paper filter is so overpriced. 3M cabin filter costs about RM70 and they're charging over RM100. Are all Mistubishi SC the same or will they offer different packages depending on SC?

Ok I guess the CVT flashing is like checking and reading error codes on the CVT ECU and then resetting it. Seems very expensive though at rm300.

Anyway next time when you go to SC, you must ask the item details and tell them if you don't want certain things. Many SC try to make money by selling unnecessary stuff to uninformed customers, so you need to be careful.

Mitsubishi Engine Oil 5W40 1L - RM209  They don't even let me bring my own oil.

I dunno who makes the engine oil for Mitsubishi. But there are engine oils that cost so much. BUT usually the brands are almost unheard off or mostly used by continental cars. But for your case u could either stick to it as i see it is actually no different to outside price for RRP pricing of engine oils. Unless u compare to everything that is being discounted.

Mitsubishi engine oil is made by Eneos Japan. At AEON Jusco it's now selling for only rm119 but there was a promotion a few weeks back for only rm99. If buy Eneos brand, then will cost around rm200. Many FS oil actually selling for around rm200-240 at normal price like Mobil1, Shell Ultra, Castrol Edge, Total, etc2 so the SC simply charged on par with those other FS brands. Seems reasonable until you compare to the AEON Jusco prices then you know it's a rip-off.

they suppose to brief you what they going to do when you service you car.
also they must let you know the estimated cost for the whole service
if they dont do so some customer never brought enough money or CC how they going to pay? rclxub.gif

Yes actually they should brief first and get agreement from the customer to do or not. Tan Chong Nissan service advisers always inform first, not just simply sneak in those stuff and charge later.

i think both these are of BlueChem's product.  the oil system cleaner is their engine oil flush product.  oil system care is the engine oil additive which is added to your fresh engine oil..

many ppl disregard these kind of additives as useless.. but bluechem is actually officially carried by Hyundai Malaysia
http://www.hyundai.com.my/ServiceProduct.aspx
didn't know Mitsu service centre is also using it??

Engine oil flush is ok, but additive IMHO is not necessary. Just use good quality engine oil is good enough already. Sometimes those so called additives actually may not benefit at all or even makes it worse. You'll never know how it will react with the engine oil until it's too late, so I personally will take the safe route and just use good oil, period. Good engine oil also should already contain the necessary additives.
