I tried to google for searching some info...but then I didnt find any of information... so can U guys help me out in searching the link and tell me how good it is If ISF was removed on that....thanks..really appreciate ur feedback.. u can remove it with either blades, or the tooth-thread(or whatever u call it) removing the IHS does not guarantee better overclocking, or resulting lower temp and its prone to core got chipped/crack, and some HSF might not sit/touch properly with the core unless u wanna gain the extreeme feeling This post has been edited by e-jump: Jun 17 2006, 01:14 PM

I try to make my Sempron naked by using a brute force, I use razor blade with hammer, I knock it down hard but carefully on all four side (start with the corner) and I remove it. the CPU PCB is a little stratched but its fine. I dont run it naked though because I use stock cooler and I cant run naked with stock cooler (the heatsink wont touch the core

It's not worth the risk plus, there is no guarantee you'll get any benefits by removing IHS.

i thought if you remove the IHS, the core surface is actually lower. any problem with the heatsink not making proper contact?
