and Mavik, judging from the reviews at Harmony Central HERE, it sounds like it's a good guitar.......

Price range also seems to fit with an Epiphone Les Paul Custom price...... so it should be around the same league..... For me, I'd stick to the epi..... but that's just me. I'm sure the Godin is as good (or even better) then an Epi

Right now with my budget, I've managed to find someone who might be willing to let go of his Gibson LP Studio Gem. I think it's a good guitar as I play a mix of clean and distortion sound.

how much the guy selling the gem for?
i know a guy in singapore selling off his gibson LP studio gem for about RM2500.
this was about 2 weeks ago, maybe its sold now.

Price not discussed yet though, checking out the guitar after work first. But since you did mention that someone was selling at that price, at least I know where I can start haggling it for now.

i seriously doubt anyone here will match prices in SG.
but if i remember that SG one, was in pretty good condition.
color was ruby or amethyst, but looked almost black in pics, from 96.

there is another guy in SG selling off a gibson nighthawk, also for around RM2500.

exactly...weird...well i guess then its referring to the fretboard. Mebbe maple neck refers to one piece maple neck with maple fretboard and not the ebony or rosewood ones.

5th should be alright. friday afternoon most likely i can(as my friday afternoon lecturers keeps cancelling classes). thursday i cant as i have classes all day.
