was thinkin of that option, with wilkinson vs50 or vs100 bridge, grovers, lefty strat neck so get reverse headstock which i prefer cos of the reverse string lengths.
i already had all the parts including the mighty mite neck and body sourced locally from dealers.
the total came up to just under RM1800, with duncan designed pickups.

now that i know the mighty mite bodies arent made in the USA, well the wood is from the states, but routed everything else in Korea, so i think i'll pass on that option

actually there is.
mighty mite supposedly are drop-in replacements for strats as they're licensed by fender.
but thats not the case, neck pockets are somehow deeper, so the necks might require shims.
the neck also needs work in extra finishing, fret ends, extra lacquering/polishing etc.

anyway you guys can go stick to your hyundais and korean soppy sad-case stories

between 92-94 there were korean made fenders.
technically they were squiers, but the ones from those yrs had fender as the main logo, and squire series in small.
then of cos the squiers all came after that til the production got too expensive and had to be moved to china.

well the ash series strat in a real fender.
i was actually looking at that model earlier today on the fender website.
falls under fender's american deluxe series which explains its high price.

think what that guy on ebay has is a older model, cos the current ones dont have seymour duncans.
yet no idea what the MN means

where do you see the extra pics?
i only see that one larger pic.

well the neck plate on that appears to says fender.
and there appears to be some lettersbehind the headstock, guess thats where the serial is.

hmm while i was searchin i found a fender koa strat, sounding yummy, until it said was only a koa top on basswood body

anyway, that lite ash strat is on the fender site.

for that price, i'll go the mighty mite way and do my own custom strat for under rm2k

buying 2 or 3 korean made guitars, then when they think about it...
rather than those 2 or 3 korean made guitars, they couldve had 1 very good US made guitar with spare change for a 60gb ipod

actually i once had a '93 MIM fender strat which stayed with me for about 3 months
and some guitars i should also never have had, like ibanez RG470, some 80s charvel superstrat with floyd etc.
but thats where the SG with floyd comes in, to finally put a stop to owning other guitars with floyds.

Ernie Ball power slinkys 11-48, regular slinkys 10-46 or hybrid slinkys 9-46.
depending on which guitar.
what i wanna try next is ernie ball's skinny top heavy bottom 10-52 to replace the 11-48...

well i've tried the zakk ones about 3yrs ago when dynamic sound brought them in.
to really use it properly you need to modify the nut slot.
plus zakk doesnt use 60s or 70s in standard tuning anyway.

yea if its a quik connect can jus swap out anytime, thats what i was doing while experimenting with my two 81s and one 85.

but then do you know how to setup your guitar? cos you'll have do abit of resetting up everytime you change.
