IMHO, either u change another unit or refund him.. coz personal warranty cover the whole week(s) u have promised.. if he say good condition at 1st day n 2nd day problem came means ur warranty void? no rite?

hard to say. better find out how is it broken, cos if it's user's carelessness like dropping a brick on the item - then the personal warranty shouldn't be covering that.

personal warranty should be covering issues like for example the processor was working fine but after 3 days without OCing or anything the fella just died all of a sudden. ie defects not due to mishandling.

really up to you lor.

personal warranty may vary from person to person.

it would be best that sellers could specify in detail what they cover in their personal warranty. like for example i cover every part of the machine i sold you - except for moving parts like fan.

you know, stuff like that.

your are not the first one. i also kena b4, sell a headphone to one forumer, damn pandai, within 7 days he test test main main, and he tried his best to find a reason to return. Said it's defect.

He even open a thread in LYN. Asked all his friends to post in that thread to support him.

finally i refund 80% and send the unit to authorised distributor to check. And i have to pay for the service to get it verify that it's working and no problem. Somemore he said i untung. Because of the 20%. My time and the fees i pay to get it verified is more than 20%. His supporter so support him that they said it's my problem.

Just because some idiot who can't afford the unit but want to test test and play play and i get all the trouble.. wat to do.. this kinda ppl exist here in LYN.. consider yourself unlucky

Until now onli i saw ur post mentioning about the warranty u gave me.
i oredi settled this case vf u.

2 units i bought from u and both of them spoiled within two weeks.
it's not user carelessness but the items problem.
hw come both oso spoiled at the same time and same button?
and also both are being used by gal users.

perhaps they are not in their very good condition when they reached me?
u cant jz blame me on this.

and mebe nex time will get sum stuffs from u n hopefully u can state clearly wat ur personal warranty covers.

No matter what, sinc eyou gave the person 2 week personal warranty that mean if it spoils within that period, you have to refund him. Even if he spoiled the item, but you have no way to prove it, you still got to refund him. That is the risk taken when you give warranty.

Just like I bought a laptop. Before I went out of the shop, I tested it throughly. The 9 months later it spoils and since I have 2 years warranty, I still can ask them to repair my laptop FOC.

Yup. Personal warranty is still warrranty. Unless you can prove that the item problem was caused by the user, then you have to provide the repairs/refunds.

However, if the problem is due to spoilt button, 'MAYBE' it can be caused by user. If the player itself is made from low-quality material and workmanship, then it could just be that the player is like that and i don't think warranty would cover it.

For example, if you buy one super-high quality item and one super-low quality item.
Then you use the super-high quality item like 10 hours non-stop everyday for 1 month. Totally no problem at all.
Then you use the super-low quality item for the same usage. Afterwards, the buttons become worn out and spoilt.
So how do you judge this? It would definitely be normal for the cheaper and lower quality item to spoil much faster EVEN though proper use and care is taken because 'WEAR AND TEAR' does happen for everything.
So if this is the case, i don't think any manufacturer or even personal warranty should cover it. It's just that 'You get what you pay for'.

Some of you may think that a Sony item is of high-quality, but that does not mean that ALL of their products including this mp3 player is of high quality. It's just that the BRAND Sony is good.

actually all i dun like about this seller attitude is wat he's talking here...
i dun intended at all to purposely did tat and he was blaming me like tat.
and i had to pay RM50 for one of the mp3 to get it repaired and waited for 1 month like tat.

do i have any need to do tat to myself?
i would rather spend my time n money elsewhere.

Put it this way...if seller can't afford to give personal warranty then don't give. Like I said before, most sellers give personal warranty just for the sake of making the item easier to sell and more value.
