I have a question, which I personally wonder quite often, maybe some creative minds may supply some plausible answers.
What's really next for mobile computing devices?
We have flexible displays coming. We have 500ppi+ screens coming. 64bit CPUs will come, and probably 4Gb+ RAM
I understand the bit about the CPUs and RAM. What I can't really see of immediate use is the flexible screen and the 500ppi display.
Probably the same thing will play out as what happened when Intel invented the 4004 in the 70's, and didn't know what to do with it until Japanese companies bought them by the shiploads to make electronic calculators...
I would like to see a mobile phone have a "desktop mobile". Can run Linux or even Windows when in a dock or mode
dual boot Android I know Motorola Atrix done it but it looks like half baked, very weak performance
True that. Dual booting a Linux distro "natively" on a smartphone is great fun, as I've learned back in the glorious N900 days.
That said, somebody should just stuff Windows 8.1 into a phone already, and Acer seems to be well on it's way with the W3 and W4. It just needs to get smaller lol.
I'll be happy if they start with Linux, low power OS. Windows 8.1 seems like need lot of power to power it. Unless you're talking about Windows 8.1 RT.

So, what we're seeing now is a quaint irony. Phones are trying to become computers, and computers are trying to become phones.
Confusing times, this is.
Sounds confusing but what to do. Manufacture trying to cover all area from tv box to AIO PC. As Tim Cook said in iPad conference, all other brand is "lost". Tablet trying to be PC, phone trying to be tablet.
How all of us wish Sammy will boot out Knox but don't think it will happen. The current trend is there will be some kind of 'Knox' in all new platforms. Sad but true.
I'll shoot some when I'm in Beijing... Flying off in less than 12 days for 2 months. Then, I'll be in Shanghai for a couple of days which I will take opportunity to visit the neighbouring provinces like Suzhou, Hangzhou.
http://www.east-beijing.com/ I'll be staying in this hotel for 60 nights and I hope the room's view could give me some nice photos.
Aside of Note 3, I will bring my whole set of DSLR...
The most expensive app that I have bought was TiBu Pro, that was $6.99 though expensive but really serves me very well. The free version needs me to keep tapping on every app when I backup and restore. I can't afford to do that.
On another hand, Nova free version is serving me very well. That could be the reason why I don't have the urge to upgrade it to prime version.
Upgrade to prime! The gesture mode is really great especially on big device.
I saw one of a girl yesterday using her note 3 with glass sp. Her screen was so clear bright compared to mine which is using matte normal sp. Thinking of buying online but i dont think i can put it on myself perfectly without any dust trapped
dont ever use matte sp, I hate it. Degrade the SP quality. If you really dont want fingerprint, get oleophobic one.
I know, i have to since i got my note 3 on the 2nd day launcher so the only sp available at Samsung outlet at that time was this matte sp. So i just take it since i dont want my baby note 3 got scratches here and there on its screen even though some say it's hard for it to scratch
Used to use plastic clear SP then changed to glass. NEVER GOING BACK.
Some tips for putting on an SP. 1. Increase the humidity in the area. Use a humidifier or do it near a boiling pot of water. Get nearby the steam. 2. Wipe down the work area with a fairly NEW wet microfiber cloth. Old ones tend to leave some fibers behind. 3. BEFORE removing the protective layer of the SP, wipe down! 4. Wipe down the screen properly. Make completely sure there's no lint.
Do you face problem where you are harder to reach the home button? I hate the home button sticker, makes the phone looks cheap
