hi, heres my almost-final version of my diy cable
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1...=1&l=568ffe527a *new flat cable design *maintain star-quad cable design(8 cables:2 left, 2 right, 4 GND) 1. removed copper shield for better weight 2. removed some 3mm sleeve for thinner cable 3. re-solder for tighter connection between cable and 6.35mm plug sound quality differ : lesser low frequencies, thinner sound, sub-bass disappeared =( I don't know why, just removed the copper shield and the bass greatly disappeared. The male's voice doesn't sound thick anymore (this is the largest difference) . I need to mention that i didn't connect all (4 wires) to the GND last time, but connect both this time, would that make difference? This post has been edited by NoobHacker: Feb 16 2014, 12:42 AM |

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « removed all non important sleeve, copper shielding is too heavy. braiding is much better than shieldings and sleeves in term of sound quality. a little bit regret that i didnt braid my usb cable.the only downside is naked wires do generate stestoscope effect when u move it. but who moves the cable while listening to music. this isnt iem so the sound wont go too loud. pretty unsatisfied with the length though, too long for desk or portable use but too short for distanced relax listening. might as well make it shorter for desk use and make extension for distanced relax listening This post has been edited by NoobHacker: Mar 29 2014, 11:59 PM |

If pair with some flat frequency headphone will btw any one know how to get cotton sleeve like stock D2000? ![]() This post has been edited by NoobHacker: Mar 30 2014, 12:00 AM |
