Can someone answer my question?

Haiz, I need some advice from you guys...

Ok, my parent's don't let me subscribe Unifi... Because it got 2 years contract and I might be studying overseas during July 2014.

So no idea, my parent's don't want to pay the Unifi bill after I go study overseas then I think I will stick up with U Mobile... Actually the speed are pretty worst these few months and I keep getting constant disconnect.

Before I go study overseas, I might pick up some jobs during Jan-Jun 2014, I think I can pay the UMI128 plan RM128/20GB per month.

My main purpose: playing Dota 2, and streaming Videos (Qvod) and torrent sometimes, and I will also get a MiFi modem 21Mbps or 42Mbps one.

Do you guys thinks it's an good idea? Currently I am using UMI68 5GB with a lousy ZTE MF110 and Huawei E173 modem, will upgrade it after I get my salary.

How do you think? And can someone give me a Speed Test for those who are using MiFi modem? Thanks.

And the speed I get during 9.54PM. UMI68

Off peak (12am onwards) I think I can get 2-3Mbps++

this is the proof. i'm 100% sure i didn't use so much on off peak because i only use it for dota 2 for until like 3am. how can it be 5gb after 8 days? it's not renewing for 2 months!
*
The Off-Peak I think it is till not implement yet or it is buggy. U Mobile sites says that off peak usage is during 2am-8am. But when I use it during this time, it still consume my normal data usage. Dunno what's wrong.

Did you guy do this?

Look at these T&C.
If you buy a data booster plan, any data used will be deemed to be from that booster plan followed by the 5GB quota (all-day usage) and, thereafter, by FREE 5GB quota applicable for off-peak usage (2am to 8am).

So:
1st - use booster plan if you have
2nd - normal 5GB quota until finish. if finish then the speed will be slow during normal time
3rd - free quota will be use BUT only during off peak after normal quota finish, so you will get normal speed again during off peak period only.
*
So... That means the 5GB off peak means I have to finish my normal quota first??

That's what I understand from that T&C.

Then it's quite useless also wink.gif

So during 2am-8am, it will consume the Off-Peak quota first rather than the normal quota right?

exactly. after 2am it will auto consume off-peak quota instead of the normal ones. then revert back to the normal quota after 8am.
*
Now fixed? Because few days ago I tried it's not working. Btw, I temporary subscribed MBDAY RM5 got 250MB off peak for testing, but no go.

Don't know... only MB68 is available, even at website also not mention MB128 already.

maybe they want to push MB68, most people still afford to pay this..

MB128 - RM128/20GB = RM6.40 per GB.

MB68 -  RM68/10GB (5G all day/5GB off peak) = RM6.80 per GB

not much different... MB68 enough for some people...  but not for me.

Umobile 20GB, Maxis 5GB and Celcom 4GB... I can use up all of this just for normal browsing (no torrent).
*
Because I planned to get UM128 after December. Will it still available on prepaid?

And 1 more question... If I've used up the Off-Peak quota, but I still have my normal quota remaining, during 2am-8am will the speed be capped?

I am still quite satisfied with the off-peak hour speed, gaming, downloading, uploading is all smooth. But during night time the speed is like bs.

During off-peak, can reach 400kbps download (3-4Mbps) speed on my old ZTE MF110 7.2Mbps modem. Will change in the future.

mb128 plan still available  cool2.gif  try refer to my post and ask for the price

5GB + 5GB promotion ends on 31 JAN 2014 correct for the plan subscription but not the plan offering, means u can't subscribe that package anymore after expiration date,

so u might still enjoy the quota after 31 JAN until further notice

I see, because after I get my salary this Friday (I m still student, work as part-timer) I will get the MB128 plan and a new HSPA+ modem. Hope it's still available.

Wanna ask, will changing the modem solve my frequent "Web Page cannot be Displayed" problem? (means DC)
