Horrible, terrible, shafted, compromised, dis-enhanced.

Losing 50% of your talk time to load 80% more useless kitteh videos on youtube is the worst thing that can happen with umobile. Shame on U for shafting the entire customer base without conducting a survey on whether this plan will fit everyone's needs, shame on U!

i believe they do some survey before making this change to fit more ppl who need more data rather than keep wasting the FREE MINS where maximum only 200 mins total brought forward

cut of 50% of the free calls and add 100% of the data,
50% of 100 mins =50mins = 50*0.18 = RM 9
500mb = RM 15 (hotlink 1gb is RM 30, umobile 500mb for 15 days is RM 15)

so there is extra RM 6 increase in terms of the value, but of cause there is no such plan that FIT EVERY1  yawn.gif

actually in this case the most pity ppl are U28 postpaid customers who need 1gb data but couldn't enjoy any free mins,  but soon new postpaid plans going to launch this month end, so just wait for it
*
it is not going to suit everyone.

ppl who use up 1gb of data, half their usage is on youtube vids and unnecessary surfing. A high percentage of these users would have kept these activities strictly with WiFi to save battery and have less frustration on loading times.

ppl who use up 80% of their talk time have useful things to do, any love talk or trashtalk is better done with whatsapp with emoticons and picture attachments, and these hardly take up any MB's a month.

here's my take on these changes,

Umobile knows that statistically, on average the talk time gets used up more often than data, and it is expensive to keep giving out more free calls than throwing out free data, since free data is hardly used up by the average consumer.

Why do you think Umobile is confident to throw out 1gb at everyone and take away 50% of talk time?

different point of view, umobile main advantage is cheap data and always yes, thats why they are so confident to withdraw back free mins rather than data, ppl who need lots call might take celcom and get small data package,

and my monthly statistic showing my customers got more than 80% using Umi28 and UMI48, umi18 and Umi 38 less than 10% each, yup you are true, the principle is TALKING more meaningful > WHATSAPP, but please bear in mind that they can use wechat to voice record and lots other DATA BASE talking apps

and most of my customers only ask for more data with prepaid while postpaid customers ask for more VOICE

thats why DATA is more popular compare VOICE  in    PREPAID at least  cool2.gif

I will await the new postpaid plans and hopefully they don't continue shafting consumers like this.

Postpaid should award more value to LOYAL customers,

- customers who are willing to sign up with their personal details, name, email and physical address
- customers who are willing to authorise their bank accounts to pay Umobile automatically.
- customers who might get locked into Umobile for a couple of years due to laziness to move elsewhere after setting up everything.

*There's even a deposit fee of one month in advance to get Postpaid running*

The last time someone reason out to me it was cheaper for Umobile to service Prepaid than Postpaid customers, I mean wth?

0 logic in the way their business models work.

If Postpaid gets massive improvements, I am pushing people around me to sign up.

how could a Telco bring down the entire ecosystem without a contingency plan?

no firm dates on service recovery?

this is astounding for the 21st century.

What's the problem? Your line has a validity depending on reload date/amount, till 4 June. You have to reload before that to extend the validity.

The duration of the UMI18 is till 12 June, so if you reload now it will only run out 12 June.

Would be interesting to test if your line gets cut off on 4 June or you can still use the data/minutes/sms. If not just reload.

how does the system work though?

If I am currently subscribed and paid UMI till 12 June, doesn't that include line validity as well?

Package UMI 18
Price RM18/month
Maximum usage Unlimited
high-speed quota 250MB
additional
data charges NO
validity 30 days

got this info from their website, isn't 'validity' the line validity? I'm confused sad.gif
