Hi,

Anyone staying in Puchong Jaya and get U Mobile 4G coverage?

I have just applied a package yesterday for RM 68 a month with RM 150 Huawei Mifi E5372.

I have checked the 4G coverage area and my location by right should be covered. But then the MIFI device only shows 3G connection..
*
hi , take note that your MIFI e5372 VERY CONFIRM no 4g connection, so you won't be able to connect 4g with that MIFI for sure cool2.gif

U Mobile printed big big on the flyer and say it is 4G MIFI.

http://consumer.huawei.com/en/mobile-broad...es/e5372-en.htm

The Link also shows that it is a 4G device right?
*
eh i didn look properly the device, but how come yours is RM 150 ? RM 150 should be 3g mifi

ok got it, u mean extra RM 149 for the LTE 4g device

so now u take care about these
1. did you activate your sim to be 4g? you may sms LTE ON to 28118, or email them customer.service@u.com.my or call them 018 3881318 to activate it.

2. connect the device to your computer, the network there search and choose 4g, then only put auto

Ya, I get the additional LTE 4g device instead of the 3G MIFI.
I am able to get 4G after set it to 4G connection as preferred connection. and it is only 1 bar or 0 bar of signal strength..... never expect it to be that bad....
Thanks for the info and support provided.
*
actually Puchong is not a preferable Umobile 4g area, subang and sunway is much better,

try closer to window with the mifi probably get better connection, or get an antenna maybe, i am selling too laugh.gif

may pm me for discount on paying umobile bill and top up brows.gif

You mean use Mifi then plug another USB Wifi dongle on my desktop?
That is my last resort if I can't a find a USB-connection enabled Mifi with decent price, because wireless connection on desktop is always unstable, at least for me.

Hope anyone that have the ZTE MF65 from uMobile can help to test and see..
*
yup u may connect your connection by usb, just connect the mifi to ur desktop and connect cool2.gif

Thank you for your clarification.  biggrin.gif

Too bad they don't have the Mifi in stock now, and tell me don't know when will restock also...don't know I should wait or just buy Huawei E5336 by myself..
*
I believe the new stocks coming would be ZTE MF65, they come in batch, sometimes zte mf65, sometimes huawei
I also finished stock from umobile, currently only got Zte mf65 from original ZTE without Umobile logo, if interested with the mifi package then just let me know o cool2.gif

My signal bar is only 1-2 bar ....

Sigh ...... Looks like I need to consider landline ....
*
broadband with what modem ? getting better signal might increase the speed as TTDI should be a very fast for umobile, worst place for umobile is Setapak

umi18 is capped @ certain speed forgot around 1mbps only , it is pretty sure when first they launched it, umi28 above plan entitled 3g max speed, and umi38 and umi48 entitled 4g max speed

Confirm cannot reload online. Hmmm, should suggest that to U.

For real hassle-free, there are merchants which will do reload for you on lelong. Even CNY Garage here does that. They only accept bank transfer, but got some discount. Best I've found so far is 8%.
*
hahaha thank you for supporting me even you found a 8% provider rclxm9.gif

Wow... PM me seller that give 8%...
Hope CNY Garage can increase his discount too... brows.gif

haha actually some loyal customers know that there are few ways to get more than 5% from me brows.gif

honestly i did consider to provide 8% discount too but that would probably reduce the motivation to provide further advices or service to my customers, paiseh haha

Petrol berapa? =p Tesco pun boleh. But most who have this CC will sure already max RM100 a month, so effectively you're eating into your cashback from other category (for me, utilities).

petrol UOB got 5 % cash rebate for all station + another 2% cash credit for BHP rclxm9.gif

I think you misunderstood me, is that even though you get 10% cashback from reload, the fact that you have to drive there means you spent petrol + time which will eat into the 10%. Let's say you reload RM100, got back RM10. Parking RM2? Means become 8% di.

oh got it cool2.gif especially got no giant in my kepong area, but cheras easily can reach any of 4 giants within 5km .... so insane ...

umobile can't credit transfer

I have registered to umobile postpaid and my account hs been barred for a few months. The status of the account is registration failed. I ask the worker at ts branch she said my number has no service anymore. So the unpaid balance is it i still have to pay it? Is it already terminated?
*
it is terminated , but the unpaid balance (outstanding ) u still need to clear it otherwise your ic would be blacklisted by most telco so u can't sign any postpaid package anymore with any telcos in the future.

Guys! For those u mobile prepaid users. I have learnt one trick.
RM76 can get RM115 top up rclxm9.gif

Buy u mobile topup RM100 from Tesco using your cashback credit card (Maybank AMEX 5% for me)
RM100 - 5% = RM95

Tesco having promo RM30 top up = 1 pack maggi 5 bag

RM95 - 3 x RM3 = RM86

Tesco having promo of RM100 purchase get RM10 tesco voucher

RM86 - RM10 = RM76

Combo it with top up bonus 15% volla...
I know.. I saw that, that's why I ask the question.
They never go like "Prepaid u mobile now have roaming!". Last time is only for Singapore.
They didn't even say properly now how to activate the roaming.

That's why I am asking here.
It's not for the unlimited internet roaming. It's more of being able to receive call and sms from overseas. Imagine you want to do online banking and need TAC or if get credit card usage SMS notification overseas. smile.gif
*
that/s not a trick btw =.= but still good way to save more biggrin.gif

somemore u need to purchase more from tesco to utilize the RM 10 tesco voucher, and not every1 need the Maggie
thats why KFC always free you voucher so u may purchase their other food as well, end up u should use more than RM 76 and u get RM 110 top up

u just need to call Customer service to help to register it, or asking the 7e for the 4 digits code to enter while u register the card yourself by dialing *118#

QUOTE(josal @ Nov 29 2014, 07:06 PM)
Umobile Sifi, please help me....

I am a prepaid user. I use to data roam in Singapore @ rm0.3/mb and rm0.55/min on voice calls.  Now with the introduction of FREE Data Roaming, it seems that I have to pay a lot more... :-(

The free data roaming is free 50mb, after which rm7.5/mb will be charged (capped at rm30/day).  If my data usage is 60mb, I will be charged rm30/day instead of rm18 under the old rate (rm0.3 x 60mb = rm18).  This is an increase of rm12 per day which is very expensive.

Moreover, top up rm50 only get 30 days of free roaming of 50mb/day.  If I subscribe UMI28, every month I will have balance of rm22 (if 5 mths = rm110 balance).  It doesn't make sense for me to keep on topping up rm50 a month for this purpose lah...

Is there a better way?  If not, then I guess I would have to look elsewhere... sadz
*
yup you are correct that you were charged RM 30/day for 60mb usage, but also same RM 30 / day for 100mb or 200 mb usage coz of the MAX capped, so thats not an increase for users that using more than 100mb/day ( old rate RM 0.3/mb) or simply FREE if you are only using <50MB.

somore simply top up RM 50 then entitled 1.5gb in a month for free international internet is a very good offer while none of other telco offering same thing.

yup it doesn't make sense that you keep topping up RM 50 every month to get the Free data roming, just get a Singapore line or simply searching for free WiFi, thats only my suggestion la cool2.gif
