Hi Sifus,

I am planning to apply for the MB68 package with the MiFi, but I have to buy the modem for 150 rite? Any alternative for that at a cheaper price?
*
if u are getting the postpaid package then is RM100 activation fee, RM 100 device fee, first 10 months RM 58

prepaid then RM 379 free 1month 5gb

or just grab a TPlink mifi @ <>RM 180 outside, then purchase the MB68 separately, i am offering discount on that plan cool2.gif

How was the coverage of voice and internet ?? Thanks!
*

QUOTE(syin16 @ Mar 18 2014, 11:11 PM)
Anybody know what is the model number on both the usb and mifi lte on the promotion?
*
SHOULD BE E5375

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Mar 19 2014, 07:25 AM)
before committing to umobile, try their prepaid first.

1) get starter pack from usual stores, e.g. 7E or svc ctrs or dealers. starter pack rm8 only. Info http://www.u.com.my/new_prepaidplan
2) reload with rm30 voucher. get this reload when u get the starter pack. your total credit will be rm38
3) subscribe UMI28 @ RM28/mth http://www.u.com.my/prepaid/unlimited-mobile-internet-plan . UMI28 is a bundle add-on to your basic prepaid plan and deduct rm28 from your credit.
3 aspects to test: service vs location/coverage vs time

service
try out all the services (voice, sms, mms, internet)

location/coverage
test the connection speed/quality, coverage strength, etc. at your usual places, e.g. home (front, back, upper floor, etc.), workplace, lepak place, hiding place  brows.gif , etc

time
try the services, at your usual locations, during morning, afternoon, evening, night, midnight, early vampire morning  sweat.gif
the umi28 package valid for 1 month (30 days), so test all these kaw-kaw within this period. if you're satisfied, port to umobile postpaid plans.
*
mcm pro o haha cool2.gif if low budget then just buy the pack and don top up just normal testing since per mb only charging RM 0.20, RM 5 is sufficient to test

i just found a weird thing (or maybe good thing), UMI18 package only maximum 1.5mbps but payu and umi28 above all enjoy top speed, so light user can't finish the 250mb fast enough ? haha

hiding place no need test. it is to hide mah. ahahahahaha

btw, speed is awesome maybe because they ar hugging tight on Maxis' towers
*
nope umobile 3g is using own 3g tower, only 2g network rely on maxis, u can see the difference when u holding 2 phones, 1 maxis and 1 umobile in GSC mid valley cinema, then u can see maxis 0bar while umobile3g on full bar, but honestly even full bar signal, at mid valley umobile data also super slow ..

How come so hard to find data about this modem? Is it not popular?
*
Just not that popular in Malaysia.. Since our 4g coverage is poor,
But I already enjoying around 30 mbps 4g umobile and around 14 mbps Celcom 4g with the e398 4g modem @ subang Jaya ss15

Got 1 suggestion ,if you are not likely to get the LTE mifi, just get the LTE dongle and get a RM 90 tp link wireless router with battery, quite convenient for me

Umobile 3G speed slowed down recently. I do speed test at several spot (ofis, town, beach, mamaks, padangbola).
Usually got 3-6mbps download speed. but now juz play around 1mbps, if lucky got bit more over 2mbps. LTE may come 20-30 years later to my place kot.
Porting from another telco to u also fucuk...submit da form twice, the centre got no opis phone, total travel 1++km for nothingness.
*
That's why dealer like us are here ready to help especially complicated mnp process, and I believe we are more professional than high turn over and not well trained outsourced customer service cool2.gif

If uM up sikit from 64kbps to 256kbps sure got a lot of people switch to uM...
I think 256kbps is nothing for them...
*
Haha don't think so, they got no reason to offer 4 times better after fup speed since they are not gonna win 4 times more revenue and might lost lots potential on early renewal umi and larger data quota subscribers due to high after fup speed they might satisfy with umi28 rather than umi48 mb68, while all other telco not doing the same stupid things, I think umobile not gonna do this while their company still fail to get listed due to losses every year. Anyway this dream still lots customers dreaming for la, like dreaming for keeping all apps free, and also free from ads cry.gif

You can most likely to unlock the modem easily. ,

2. For prepaid there is no add on package, want more free mins just ask your mom switch to umobile and you are eligible call to her 1 hour free per day before 7PM

hey dude,

I wanna test the 3G of u mobile before I switch over, may I know if this test method still works?

best bet if go 7-11 buy a prepaid sim pack with RM5 value inside and subscribe 24 hour broadband with that RM5 credit to test kaw kaw,.

if coverages sucks just leave the sim expired or throw away,

if coverages good, can keep the sim continue using or MNP to postpaid as well
*
Yup sure, better try first before mnp, not saying any bad to any telco but in fact no telco can perfectly cover every inches and fit every 1, so to be safe test first

I going to sign up the MB68 plan from u mobile ...

I need a MIFI modem to share among my hp and laptop (share  atless 3 device at home ) ...but I no sure which modem is better ....

Currently U mobile offer is

LTE MIFI Modem  Rm149
+
Activation Fee      RM100
+
Advance  Payment  RM68

Total is RM 317

upgrade option is [U]

21Mbps MIFI Modem  Rm100
+
Activation Fee            RM100
+
Advance Payment      RM68

Total is Rm268

Which Modem gv me faster speed and share more device ?
asked U mobile FB , total wired giving me unclear answer ....that why I come here need all sifu help

me .....
*
I tried that 21 mbps mifi
It's ok to use, never tried that LTE mifi, but I tried LTE modem @ subang and recorded 40 mbps speed, so if you are in LTE coverage, you can try the LTE mifi which I believe not bad since the comment of it's users is not bad by the way it's not that expensive just give it a shot
