Any idea how to deal with this sharp edge

Buy this and polish the edge to round from sharp.

By the way, be careful. You can do this only on homogeneous tile. If not when the top layer is removed/polished it will review the inner brown colour part of the tile! Homogeneous tile mean the color and the texture is the same inside out. If the tile surface pattern looks like something painted it is ceramic tile, it means the inner part is brown.

I look again your picture. It look more like ceramic tile. You dont you ceramic tile to make staircase, it is dangerous. Not only it has sharp edges, it is also very slippery when wet.

For staircase you use staircase tile with usually is non-slip or at least have some lines like tires towards the edge. And the end edge are rounded already.

Can you visualise if you or your love ones slip from upstair??? It is all concrete and sharp edges. You better hack it and redo. It is worth the effort and money than to be hospitalised that not only cause money but pain and suffering and can be permanent damage bodily! Not to scare you, bro. It dont happen today...tomorrow...next day...you never know it comes, can be anybody even visitors.

You can only polish if your tiles are homogeneous

Any tile can polish, just some will have different color (norm white) wit surface which is practical but not visually appealing.

got staircase tiles?i tot only homogenous,ceramic and porcelain types?
maybe got some sort of sealant to make TS' tiles less slippery...then polish the edges to round if possible kua...

With the sealant it does not feel nice on your feet, dont have the cooling effect. Also will get dirty easier and harder to remove stain something like the dirt get stuck in there especially when there is water or wet and will have lines like scratches if see with light reflection. Over time it gets disappeared or diminished thinner and thinner. Worst the heavy traffic area get diminished but not the sides edges where there is little or no traffic and become uneven. It is basically some kind of colourless acrylic paint.

Staircase tiles are also homogeneous tiles except that it has groove lines at the edge so to provide grip and friction (see picture) and the edges are already rounded

If not mistaken there is some round corner edge strip material than can apply on it.

Not the small pcs round edge tile. Those are old fashion type. But long round corner strip.

I know what you're talking about..I use it for my tiles edges along the walls in my kitchen..i think very cheap...like RM12 per 8ft..don't really remember prices now, comes in many colours to suit tiles shades

Asked another house owner, he just grind the edge 45 degrees.
10's for all the opinion.

If the edges are jagged, you can use a sharpening stone (the ones used to sharpen knives). Just run it over the sharp edges gently & it will smoothen out.
If you need a rounder edge, then a grinder will do a better job.
But going 45-degrees might not be the best idea. It will tend to be a bit more slippery if if you walk using the edges a lot (like me )

I guess there is the 1. It look tidy, modern and nice. RM12 is cheap too.

This will solve your problem. Stair edge nosing.

Forgot the price..but bought from tile shop...after renovation some of the things I lose track of prices..need to dig the excel file in the other laptop

Try to ask craftsnknots . I only see it before. But don't no where to get it.

You still have to cut a portion of the tile to fit this corner sleeve. Somehow you can't avoid the dust.
